"You actually spoke!",I exclaimed, my heart racing with surprise. His rich, deep voice sent delightful shivers cascading through my entire body, making me feel all warm and tingly inside.
"I can, and I really don’t want to hear you talk about yourself like that ever again. You’ve put your trust in me and become my friend, even though I haven’t shown you my face or said a word until now. How does that make you a bad friend?"
He gently released my wrists and tenderly wiped away my tears with his thumbs. With a soft sigh, he slowly took off his mask and cap, revealing himself to me.
Oh my goodness, he’s absolutely stunning!
I found myself completely captivated, unable to look away. His jet-black hair looked so silky and inviting, and his handsome face was simply breathtaking, especially with that dazzling smile showcasing his pearly white teeth. His light chuckle brought me back to reality.
"If I had known that just showing my face could make you blush like this, I would have revealed myself much sooner," he teased.
Realizing the implication of his words, I quickly covered my face, feeling a rush of warmth. He chuckled again, a sound that made my heart flutter.
"Seriously, it should be against the law to be this incredibly handsome", I said, feeling a mix of admiration and embarrassment. He playfully patted my head, flashing that enchanting smile that could easily lift me to the clouds.
"It feels so good to finally show myself to you," he said, his fingers gently playing with the ends of my hair.
"Then why wait so long? Why not speak up before?" I asked, curiosity bubbling inside me.
"I have my reasons, and I promise to explain when the moment is right. I just don’t want to jeopardize what we have," he replied, planting a soft kiss on the back of my hands. My cheeks flushed as I instinctively pulled my hands away.
"Take all the time you need. I’m already so happy with how things are between us," I said, beaming at him, and he returned my smile with one that made my heart skip a beat.
