Haru walked out of his apartment building. How long has it already been since he started living like this? Going to school, hanging out with Amane, chatting with Michiyo, doing extra missions....

"6 weeks" he thought. He received the mission 6 weeks ago. Time has passed quickly, now it's already winter. He clenched on his scarf.

He walked through the chilly streets and looked at the snowflakes raining down slowly

He walked through the chilly streets and looked at the snowflakes raining down slowly. He admired the view.

Finally, he arrived at his destination that night - just a regular convenience store. He ran out of food for the week, and came to restock on some.

He did as usual, grabbed the necessary groceries and instant cup noodles. He reached out for the noodles, when someone called his name. "Haru-san!" Michiyo called, waving her hand in the air. Haru wasn't expecting to see her there, at such a lowly place considering her status.

"Hey.. Michiyo. What are you doing here?" Haru asked. Michiyo smiled. "Buying groceries, of course!" She answered enthusiastically. "But.. Why you? And here? I thought someone with your status would have maids to buy your groceries, or go to a better store at least..?" He assumed.

Michiyo chuckled. "True, but since tonight my dad and stepmom isn't home, I've decided to go out and explore a bit. The maids don't mind, plus, I have bodyguards to protect me" she told confidentally. Haru bit his lip. He had killed all of Michiyo's bodyguards, so she pretty much has zero protection right now.

"You know, it's still dangerous. What if your bodyguards aren't here? You'd be exposed to danger all around!" He warned. "What do you mean....?" Michiyo asked, confused. Haru shook his head. "Nothing, forget it! How about I accompany you home later tonight? You know, just to be extra safe. I can't just leave you out there alone, even if you have bodyguards" Haru offered.

Michiyo thought for a while. "I don't mind.. But since you offered that, I have another plan" she smiled. "I wanna go explore more of these parts tonight! Would you come with me?" She suggested. Haru froze.

"H-huh??" He gasped. "Eh? That's overreacting, Haru-san. I just very rarely go around this part of town... And since it isn't too late yet, I would want to explore a bit. And plus, I have company here!" Michiyo explained.

Haru nodded. He decided this will be a good opportunity to get close to her. Plus, by protecting her and not doing anything bad might just increase her trust in him. "For my mission, I guess"

"Wow, look at all this snow!" Michiyo exclaimed, running around cheerfully. "W-wait, Michiyo, be careful!" Haru warned her. She suddenly fell into the ground. Haru, concerned, went over to check her out.

"Are you alright..?" Haru asked. Suddenly, Michiyo threw a snowball at him. Haru froze in shock. "Hehe! Surprise attack!" Michiyo giggled.

Haru gritted his teeth jokingly. He placed his groceries on a bench nearby. "Oh, so that's how it is, huh?" He threw a snowball at Michiyo as revenge.

2 seconds later, the two found themselves in a playful snowball fight. For the first time in forever, Haru actually felt happy and excited. "It's been years since I last laughed like this..." He smiled.

Michiyo was also different tonight. She was no longer her quiet, shy self. She who stands before him is an energetic, playful and cheerful girl. Something that brings back some of Haru's blurry memories of a childhood friend of his.

After a while, the two stopped out of exhaustion. They threw themselves onto a bench and tried to catch their breaths.

Suddenly, they giggled. "That was fun, Haru" Michiyo spoke. "True, true. I have never felt this happy in all my life. This is all thanks to you, Michiyo" Haru smiled. "A-ah, I have to thank you too, Haru-san. I haven't had a snowball fight like that in forever too! The last time was like, 7 years ago, I think. With my mother before she died" Michiyo smiled back.

"Your birth mother? Don't mind me asking, but what happened to her?" Haru asked. "It's okay, I don't mind. She was killed by an assassin. The worst thing is, the assassin looks very young when I look at him" Michiyo answered casually. "Don't that bother you? The way you speak sounds like it means nothing to you" Haru asked again.

"It did hurt a lot to lose her, but I've learned to let go over the years" Michiyo answered, smiling brightly.

Suddenly, Haru felt a wave of butterflies in his stomach. Something about Michiyo's smile made him flustered. "What is wrong with me? Calm down, Haru" his heart spoke.

"Well, how about we stop for some hot chocolate at that cafe? Then, we'll go home" Michiyo suggested. Haru nodded without a thought.

They enjoyed their hot chocolates with some bread at the cafe, while also chatting and admiring the snowflakes outside the window. "Haru-san, thank you for being my companion tonight. It was really fun with you" Michiyo said as they were preparing to leave.

"Wait, are you going home alone?" Haru questioned. "No, I contacted my driver to come pick me up at the bus stop nearby" Michiyo responded. "How about I wait for your driver with you? You know, it's not so safe out there..." Haru acted out his concerns.

"You don't mind? Really? I don't really mind if it's you. You're a good guy" Michiyo spoke. Haru nodded, as his heart speaks. "A good guy?

I'm sorry Michiyo, I'm really not one"
