The Reincarnated Luna

CHAPTER 8

*XYLA'S POV*

             

We decided to sit somewhat in the middle of the theater. Me and my siblings would usually sit in the very back but with Tyler being here, he wouldn't be able to see. I sat between Matt and Tyler while Teagon sat on the other side of Matt.

As we watched the movie I noticed the time and took a glance at Tyler out of curiosity. He didn't seem like he was going to move anytime soon. Well, I guess it wasn't a glance now since I started to observe him. His face was made of sharp lines; his jaw, nose even his lips were a straight line. I would have thought he was the wolf, unlike his immature brother.

Tyler's eyes blinked from the movie to me, his head following suit. "I'm not going to meet that girl," he said.
"I wasn't worried about that," I raised my eyebrow, and he replied with a condescending "hm," which for some reason bothered me a little.
I crossed my arms, "if you need to know...., I was just observing," I said.
That seemed to only fuel him more, "am I more interesting than the movie?" he raised an eyebrow.
"Right now, yes, it's boring."
He smirked and went back to the movie, I scoffed and did the same, damn humans.

It was pretty safe to same I spoke too soon when I said the movie was boring. The director somehow found a way to make a jump scare every five minutes and Matt hated jump scares. He would jumped and screamed, then I got startled from it while Teagon and Tyler thought it was all funny.

After the movie was over, we let Teagon pick where we would eat. The food was good, Teagon and Matt spoke amongst themselves, occasionally including Tyler and I. I don't like talking while I eat so I mostly just listened to Tyler.

Sooner or later, one exhausting day later Teagon and I made it back home. It was about 4 in the evening and the Alpha should be done with most of his work so I decided to just go up to his office. The climb up the stairs was a bit tiring but I recover quickly. I knock on his office door and wait patiently but it swings open with the Beta behind it. "Beta," I slightly bow my head.

"What are you doing here," he crosses his arms, the Beta was known to have more of a temper than the alpha did. I held my head high and responded, "I've come to make Alpha aware of a serious situation and express my concerns." He looked at me a bit amused debating wether or not he believed me.

"Let her in Lycaon," I hear the Alpha from further in the room. The beta takes a deep breath and rolled his eyes before he steps aside to allow me into the office. I see the Alpha behind his desk taking a call and I over hear the last bit of it.

"You're not getting the Alpha suite Braxton," he took a pause, "Yes. You and Alvara with have the nicest guest room." Beta-Lycaon had his head in his palm while I remained stood by the door.
"I have business to take care of," Alpha Braylen said looking at me, "but hey, stay off the licorice," he joked before hanging up the phone.

He sat back in his chair and crossed his arms, "what serious situation did I need to be aware of."

"Well my sister and I discovered a stray in the nearest town," I started to explain.
"The witches will take care of it, leave girl, we have paper work to finish," he directed the last part towards the Alpha.

"Well the stray is just over 17, which means the witches missed him or he got past them some way," I continued to talk directly to the Alpha.
"You lie, we do not have time for a she-wolf seeking attention," the Beta interrupts. I roll my eyes, I don't get how this brute raised an angle like Ethan. I would think his mother had more of an effect on him but with his mother being the Theta- which is basically a male version of the Beta- I don't understand how Ethan is.... well Ethan.

"Are you sure of this," the Alpha asked. "Yes, my sister attends the human school and has grown very close to the wolf."
"Mates?" He asks
"Well no, they just fancy each other," I explain, the Alpha hummed and I continued to elaborate. "He expressed that he grew up in the human town an orphan and doesn't know what a pack is, a stray or any basic fundamental knowledge for a wolf."

"Interesting," the Beta rubbed his chin.
"No, not interesting," the Alpha stood for his chair, "it's a problem and more work for me."

"Bring him here, he'll train as an eta, for now, the rest is above you, however, thank you for informing me," he placed his hand on my shoulder. I replied with an of course and left the room.
