It's a little later in the same day. Linc and Tami are entering the retirement home where his grandfather is staying. The two approach the nurse behind the counter. She doesn't notice them right away, so Linc knocks on the counter in front of her a few times. The nurse looks up and looks at Linc a little suspiciously.
Nurse: Can I help you?
Linc: I'm here to visit someone. My grandfather, Albert-
The nurse interrupts him as she stands up with a smile.
Nurse: Oh you are Albert's grandson! He's talked about you so much. He will be very happy when he sees you. He's in the living room right now. Just go through that door there and the third door on the right. The doors should be open.
Linc nods, puts a hand on Tami's back and leads her along.
The two reach the living room and find several people sitting there. Linc scans the room with his eyes and finds Albert sitting in a chair conversing with other men his own age. The two slowly and quietly walk towards him and Linc puts a hand on his grandfather's shoulder from behind.
Linc: Hey Pop-Pop.
Albert's eyes widen as he immediately jumps out of the chair and hugs his grandson, who also hugs him back.
Albert: Lincoln it's so nice to see you.
He lets go of him and points to his friends who are still sitting there.
Albert: Lincoln these are some friends of mine from the old military days.
Linc bows to Albert's friends, who nod to him. Albert looks at Lincoln and then at Tami who is smiling and waving at him.
Albert: Who is that?
Linc puts his arm over Tami and pulls her close.
Linc: Pop pop, this is Tami my girlfriend.
Tami: *Good day!*
Albert's eyes widen before throwing a sly grin at Linc.
Albert: Girlfriend... Good job my boy.
Linc grins and scratches his head.
Linc: Thanks! So what do we want to do?
Albert looks at his watch.
Albert: It's quite late. So a real activity doesn't work anymore. How about we just go eat something?
Tami's eyes widen when she hears that. Linc is always surprised she is very bad with other languages but when you mention food it doesn't matter what language it is.
Linc: Sure. Tami is also very hungry it seems. Is the good Chinese restaurant still open?
Albert: The one with the buffet? Yes they are still open.
Linc: Cool, let's go.
The three make their way to the restaurant. The three have to walk down a few streets before arriving at the restaurant. They go in and are taken to a table for three. After ordering their drinks, Tami runs to get food from the buffet. Albert laughs out loud.
Albert: She seems very hungry!
Linc sweatdrops and nods with a slightly embarrassed look on his face.
Linc: Wait before she comes back.
After a few minutes, Tami comes back with a mountain of food on her plate and a big grin on her face. Albert's mouth just opens in shock.
