It's the next day, Linc is in the Principal Rivers' office at Royal Woods High School. Principal Rivers is a tall and slim light-skinned adult woman with long and curly black hair. She sits behind her desk and smiles kindly at Linc, who just gives her a blank expression. He wears black pants and a white shirt.
Rivers: Nice to meet you Lincoln. I've heard a lot about you from your sisters. What was Japan like?
Linc: Pretty good, made a lot of friends and did well at school too.
She pulls out a file and looks through it.
Rivers: I know that, I have a file here that your school in Japan sent me. Your grades are impressive.
Linc gives her a small smile and nods.
Linc: Yep. So you have my schedule?
Rivers: Yeah its right here.
She reaches into a drawer and gives him a piece of paper, which he accepts and nods to her.
Rivers: I hope you will have fun at school.
He nods again and makes his way to his first class. The corridors are empty because classes have already started. He searches for a few minutes before finding the class. He opens the door and enters the classroom, still looking at his schedule.
Linc: Hey, I'm your new student, sorry for being late, I was with Principal Rivers.
A female voice that sounds familiar to him sounds.
???: That's okay, would you like to introduce yourself?
Linc looks up and smiles when he sees who it is. It's a teacher he knows too well, she has a slender figure body, with tan skin and has long dark brown hair that goes all the way down to her waist.
Linc: Been a while Ms. DiMartino. You're a high school teacher now heh. Good for you.
Ms. DiMartino puts a hand on her chin, does she know this young man?
Ms. DiMartino: I'm sorry I can't remember you.
Linc chuckles and smiles.
Linc: Wait a sec.
He stands in front of the class.
Linc: My name is Lincoln Loud. I'm 15 years old and lived in Japan for a few years.
Linc sees the eyes of most of the students and Ms. DiMartino widen and look at him in shock.
Ms. Dios Mios... Lincoln, you've changed a lot, I didn't recognize you at all.
???: Lincoln?!
He looks at the class and sees four boys looking at him in shock.
Linc: Oh shit. Clyde, Rusty, Zach, Liam, it's been ages. How are you guys.
Rusty is the first to speak.
Rusty: Holy Lincoln, what the hell happened to you in Japan?
Zach: Nice tattoo.
Clyde: Nice to see you again buddy.
Liam: Man it's been ages.
Before Linc can say anything, Ms. DiMartino claps her hands.
Ms. DiMartino: Boys, I can imagine you are excited to see your friend again but we need to focus on class.
Boys: Yes Ma'am!
The boys sit down and Linc sits in the back row and leans back in his chair. He doesn't really pay attention to the lessons because he has already gone through this topic in his school. Time flies pretty fast for Linc. It's lunchtime and he's sitting at a table in the cafeteria with his friends.
Clyde: So wait, the only reason you're still here is because your parents sued your aunt Alex for custody of you because they want you to stay.
Linc: Yep
He just told them about the situation because they were surprised that he suddenly came back. Even if they seem sad.
Rusty: So you want to go back to Japan?
Linc: Yeah.
Zach: Are you sure it would be cool to have you back here.
Linc: Sorry guys even if it would be cool. I have responsibilities in Japan and many friends waiting for my return. Because me and my friends have a lot planned.
At that moment the door to the cafeteria opens and about five guys come into the cafeteria. They seem pretty full of themself, thinks Linc. The boys look around, see the table Linc and his friends are sitting at and make their way over to them.
Clyde: Oh oh...
Linc: What?
Linc looks at Clyde who appears uneasy.
Clyde: These are the members of the boxing club, they're pretty arrogant and that's just because they won a championship last year and that's why the assistant principal lets them get away with somethings.
The boys have finally arrived at the table and now Linc finally recognizes the leader of them, it's Chandler, unsurprisingly.
Clyde: Hey McBride, you know what time it is?
Clyde looks down and nods. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out some dollar bills. But before Clyde can give him the money, Linc grabs his hand.
Linc: Cut it out, Clyde, they don't deserve your money.
He gets up and faces Chandler and his goons with a bored look on his face.
Linc: I'll just give you some advice, leave my friends alone and fuck off if you know what's good for you.
Chandler walks up to Linc and grabs his collar.
Chandler: And who the hell are you?!
Linc grabs Chandler's wrist and grips it so hard that he immediately lets go.
Linc: You were never the smartest Chandler. You can't even remember a name.
Chandler looks at him with a confused look on his face.
Chandler: Larry?
Linc: Lincoln Loud, you idiot. But everyone calls me Linc now.
Chandler: Oh yes, that was your name. So listen, me and my friends here are really popular and we can do whatever we want. So how about this, stop fighting us and we won't make your school life a living hell?
Linc walks closer to him and tells him with a grin on his face.
Linc: No, so fuck off with your monkeys.... now.
Chandler looks at him in shock and disappears with his friends. Linc grins and sits on his way to his next class.
Linc: Come on guys we don't want to be late.
