Dress reference
- - - -I crave you in the most innocent form.
-unknownOctober 31st:
Jules tugs down the thin fabric of the short dress that loosely covers her torso and barely falls beneath her underwear. It's a pastel lilac fabric, her chest covered in see-through white lace. The dress is undeniably short, much shorter than Jules is usually comfortable with. She scowled when Fay pulled the matching set out with a big smile on her face, nodding her head eagerly.
Her hair falls in bounding curls just above her shoulder blades. A crown of purple, pink, and white flowers sit at the top of her head. Fay had brushed sparkly eyeshadow in the corner of their eyes. It draws your attention to the dreamy, liquid blue of her eyes. Her lips are painted light pink, the lipstick feeling foreign to her. Jules was never one to wear makeup, not really knowing how to apply it.
The fairy wings attached to her back are scratchy. She desires to rip them off and discard the outfit completely, but Fay is excited about dressing up, and she doesn't want to ruin her wistfulness.
"Are you sure this isn't too much?" Jules says through gritted teeth. Fay knocks eagerly at the apartment door, shaking her head as Jules watches.
"You look hot, Jules," she grins. "It's Halloween, after all. No better time to pretend to be someone else for the night."
Kahlil opens the door dressed like a cowboy, tipping his hat before he looks at the girls. He sucks in a breath when his eyes find Fay, his smile growing. He shakes his head, grabbing the back of her neck to pull her into a kiss. As he deepens it, Jules pushes past them with a roll of her eyes.
She finds everyone in the kitchen the size of a shoebox. Phoenix leans against the wall. He is dressed like a version of Prince charming. He talks to Wren, who isn't really dressed up. She wears a simple crop top and black leather pants. Her pink hair is pulled into a small ponytail high on her head. Her makeup is an extravagant mix of pink and purple hues that bring out the darkness of her nearly black eyes.
"Wait- you two know each other?" Jules breaks into their conversation, her eyes darting back and forth between Wren and Phoenix. She remembers Phoenix only from their small interaction at the party and Nico's talk of their bar run-in. Wren, of course, she knows from work.
"We both go to the same university," Wren says to Jules, nodding in approval at the fairy costume. "We started talking at the party after you left."
"Interesting," Jules smirks, raising a perfectly manicured eyebrow. "Well, keep talking, don't let me interrupt."
In the corner of the kitchen is a small white refrigerator. Jules walks towards it with purpose. Opening it she looks for something to drink, accepting one of the random beers lining half the shelves. Standing up quickly, a noise to her left catches her attention, her head shooting in that direction.
Her eyes find Nico, whose own bottomless gaze grows wide. He bites his bottom lip, sucking in. Suddenly self-conscious under his intense staring, a blush forms on her cheeks, burning them.
"You look..." Nico doesn't once look away. His throat is scratchy, gravelly almost as he coughs into his fist, trying to clear it. "You look stunning, Jay."
Her smile grows at the sudden burst of confidence flowing through her veins at his words. She crosses her arms, pushing up her chest slightly, his eyes growing wider if possible. She smirks playfully, letting her head fall to the side until Nico's looking her in the eyes.
