A medium gap sat between you and Sadie. You moved your arm on top of the seat to invite her once again to move closer to you. You closely watched Sadie's body language as you she ignored everything you were doing.
Number 18! Number 67!
The caller started to announce the bingo numbers but you didn't pay much attention anyway. Sadie was mad at you for some reason and you needed to get to the bottom of it.

Turning your head back to bingo sheet that sat in front of you, in the corner of your eye you could see Sadie slightly adjust her head to face you.  There was a sharp look in her eye, something you have never seen on her face before. It scared you a little as you have only seen the sweet side of Sadie, never her angry side. After carefully thinking about all the reasons of why she could be mad at you, nothing came to mind. A part from the fact she might of seen you with your ex best friend. She shouldn't be mad at that? Should she?
"What's the matter? You haven't even sat that close to me ever since you came back from getting drinks"
You blurted out as you shifted your body to face Sadie. Her eyes looked over to you but her body didn't follow. Swiftly, she sat up from her seat and walked around to the other side of you. Just before you could move, she snatched your wrist and paced to the outside of the pub. A firm grip on your wrist from Sadie left small red marks from her pale fingers.
"Are you going to answer me? Or are we just standing out here for no reason?"
You asked her as she brought you to a halt.
"I saw you"
Sadie stared into your eyes in which you stared back and you could see small tears forming in them. Confusion began to settle.
"What do you mean?"
"With that girl. I was getting drinks and I saw you"
Fuck.
Just as you were about to speak, Sadie began to walk away from you. You jogged after her and snatched her wrist back instead.
"She was my old best friend from year 5!"
Now tears prickled your eyes as well. You couldn't loose her. Not now.
"I saw the way you looked at her!"
Small tears fell down her cheeks but she quickly caught them with the back of her hand.
"I was shocked to see her! She moved away to Canada and I haven't seen her since! I'm not even friends with her!"
You yelled loud enough that people inside the pub could probably hear you. As a small silence fell, you moved closer to Sadie and placed your palm onto her cheek. Before you could say anything and try to apologise, she slapped your hand away and walked quickly down the road. God knows where she's gonna go.

You took a deep breath and stood in your place. Your legs didn't budge no matter how hard you tried. You Watched the red headed girl go around a corner until she was out of sight.

This was it. I had finally lost her.

It was now 12:30am, you have heard nothing from Sadie since she left. For the past 3 hours you had been wondering the streets and listening to music to try and keep your mind off of what just happened. It was no use. Tears streamed down your face until there was no more. Your eyes were left bloodshot and you were so tired.

Thinking it had been long enough, you flashed your phone on to see if there was any new notifications. None. The only thing there, was a black and white picture of you and Sadie kissing in the rain. With a small sigh and holding back tears, you put your phone back into your pocket and made your way back to the hotel.

What. Have. I. Done.
