Chapter 41:The Trial Part 2

Coral's POV

Kayla just got up to speak. "All of you know that I'm not a fast mermaid and when you to defeat an enemy you're going to need speed on your side which is something a clearly don't have." Kayla started saying still wearing those sunglasses. "I shouldn't be charged with first or second degree murder. I stopped swimming because I was exhausted and second degree murder because I didn't kill anyone." She sat down and waited.

"Okay does anyone want to speak." Judge Jan spoke

"Kayla is hiding something why don't you ask her to take off her glasses." Glade yelled. Kayla turned her to his direction.

"Kayla take off your glasses" Judge Jan stated

"No"

"Kayla take them off now." Kayla shakes her head. "KAYLA NOW!" She says nothing. With that Judge Jan takes her sunglasses off Kayla, but Kayla probably predicted that and she closed her eyes." Open your eyes Kayla. Do you want me to get the guards."

"I want open my eyes unless you give me back my glasses and this is my castle and you can't call the guards only I can."

"Your mother gave me permission to call the guards, so this is your last chance."

"Fine go ahead."

"GUARDS" I don't know what Kayla was thinking because 5 guards came in and they are experienced.

"This is going to be quite a show." Glade said

"Want some popcorn Coral." Gull asked. There both right, so I sat down and relaxed.

Kayla' s POV

I knew what I was doing when I said fine on letting the guards try to take me on. I cracked my knuckles an turned into my human form since its so much easier to fight with legs than a tail. The five guards came and I punched one and kicked another with my boot. That's why I always where boots with heels and there is a little leather strap that hold a small 10 cm blade, so I can hurt whoever is trying to attack me harder.

The other three guards took out there swords trying to attack me from three directions. I did a front flip of the desk I was standing on and kicked one of them in the back and grabbed his sword. Two more to go. I started fighting them and then when one of then came close enough I did a back flip to knock it sword in the air and I caught it in mid air. Now there is only one more I have two swords. He swings his sword to the right of my body and black him and I use the other sword to hit him while he is trying to stop me. I ended hitting him in the leg and he fell to the floor. I grabbed my sunglasses and put them back on. Yep I fought all of them with my eyes shut. It's part of my training and since I can sense people and there movements it felt like I was wearing night vision goggles.

"We need stronger guards these are super weak. How did my mom let protect the castle." I said to no one in particular. The next thing I that happened changed how people felt about me. Judge Jan pulled off my glasses.
