Sometimes I wish I could have a girlfriend. It's really all I want at this point.
I thought to myself.
"Max honey your friends are here to bring you to the movies!" My mom shouted from the other room while doing the dishes. I put on my socks and exited my room. As I expected dustin, Lucas, el, mike and will were outside on there bikes to pick me up.
I ran out to them and hopped on my bike and we rode to star court together. The big bright sign that read starcourt mall was brighter than ever against the dark night sky. We walked in the mall and walked to scoops ahoy where steve and robin work.
We decided to get Ice cream to enjoy during the movies. El and mike ordered first. El was holding mikes hand and el seemed anxious. I wish I talked more with el she seems really cool. El ordered strawberry and mike ordered chocolate. Me and Lucas both got strawberry, Dustin got chocolate and will diddnt want any.
Steve snuck us into the movie like normal and I sat next to Lucas. To my surprise el and mike sat down next to us. Maybe this was my chance to become friends with el. She doesn't like me very much and I have no clue why. I looked at her and never realized how pretty she was. Mike looked at me weirdly because I was staring at his girlfriend, I immediately stopped once he saw me.
When the movie was over we exited the theater and walked out of the mall. "You guys wanna come to my house" mike asked. We all said yea and we got back on our bikes and rode to mikes house. Today was the day I was finally gonna talk to eleven. She seems so cool.
As we arrived Karen wheeler opened the door and let all of us in. We walked down to mikes basement and sat down. "Uhm hey el!" I said nervously. She looked at me angrily. I diddnt know why.
"El can we talk?" I asked, she was hesitant but nodded and we both got up and stood in the corner. "Do you hate me el?" I asked. "Maybe." She responded. I was kinda hurt by this but diddnt tell her. "Why?" I asked confused. "I saw you and mike. Flirting." I was shocked. Me and mike never even hung out alone, the only time we ever talked by ourselves was when we were looking for dart.
"We NEVER flirted. The only ever time we talked alone was when we were looking for dart." I said. "We hate each other trust me." I said. She furrowed her brow. "You we're smiling" she responded. "Yeah because we were talking and I was being funny." I said. She looked at me in the eyes. "Oh" she said. "Friends?" I asked. She nodded with a smile. "Friends" she said.
I was happy she diddnt hate me anymore. We walked back and sat next to each other. She was really pretty. Maybe I might like her. I smiled at her and she smiled back.
