Jet Black Tattoo is one of the most popular tattoo studios in California. Celebrity artist Calum Hood is on many people's dream tattoo lists.
When he opens up applications for a new apprentice Eve is the winner.
But do they win more than just a on...
Eve's heart pounds in their chest the closer they get to the tattoo shop. Their knuckles turn white due to how hard they're squeezing the drink holder in their hands, in the holder is four drinks, two black coffees, a vanilla latte, and a green tea.
They were overly aware of everything happening. Of their bag slowly falling off their shoulder and the way their pants were ever so slightly too big resulting in a weird feeling while walking.
The shop, Jet Black Heart Tattoo, sat in the heart of LA, and was very well known for their impressive artists. At Jet celebrity clients was normal and people stopping by for a photo op was just part of the day. Eve has no clue how they got the chance to apprentice here.
When Calum Hood, one of the artists, had released news of wanting a new apprentice after his last graduated Eve couldn't turn down the chance. It was their dream apprenticeship, and despite being accepted at several other impressive shops, Eve waited a full month before responding, and it worked in their favor when one morning Calum called her, immediately jumping into a rant about how impressed he was at the artwork they submitted.
So here they are, at 6am on a Monday, walking into work for the first time, carrying the four men's drinks they asked them to pick up for them every morning.
The shop was a modern and classy dark aesthetic. At the desk sits a man with curly blond hair, she recognizes him as Luke Hemmings. His eyes look up from the desk when the door chimes and a smile appears on his face. "You're Eve?" he asks and she smiles,
"That'd be me," she says awkwardly and suddenly three other men are looking towards the front. The one in the back, Calum Hood, walks on to the front, taking the drink carrier from her.
"thank you," he hums, taking his drink as well as another and turning back to her, "it's nice to finally meet you Eve, i'm Calum Hood. Welcome to Jet Black,"
