IT WASN'T THE FIRST time, an argument had broken out over breakfast at number thirteen, Kaiser Vale.

Mr. Telli Roh had been woken in the early hours of the morning by a loud, hooting noise from his nephew, Beomgyu's room.

"Third time this week!" he roared across the table, "If you can't control that owl, it'll have to go!" Uncle Telli was a tall and sleek man, with an enormous black neat moustache.

"She's bored," Beomgyu, tried yet again, to explain, "She's used to flying around outside. If I could just let her out at night—"

"Do I look stupid?" snarled Uncle Telli, with egg yolk smeared in his mouth. "I know what'll happen if that owl's let out." He exchanged dark looks with his wife, bony and horse-faced, Saegi.

Beomgyu tried to argue back but his words were drowned by a long, nag on his big brother, Leonbi. "I want more bacon," he said calmly.

"There's more in the frying pan, sweetie," said Aunt Saegi, turning misty eyes on the older nephew.

Leonbi, at the kitchen chair, grinned and turned to Beomgyu. "Pass the frying pan, little brother."

Beomgyu grimaced, irritated, "You've forgotten the magic word."

Beomgyu couldn't believe the effect of his words on the family: Aunt Saegi clapped her hands to her mouth when she screamed and Uncle Telli yelped as he fell of his chair and crashed before he jumped back to his feet with veins throbbing in his temples.

"I meant 'please'!" said Beomgyu quickly, "I didn't me—"

"WHAT HAVE I TOLD YOU?!" thundered his uncle, raining spit over the table, "ABOUT SAYING THE 'M' WORD IN OUR HOUSE?"

"But I—"

Uncle Telli pounded his fist on the table. "HOW DARE YOU THREATEN LEONBI! YOUR OLDER BROTHER—!"

"I just—"

"I WARNED YOU! I WILL NOT TOLERATE MENTION OF YOUR ABNORMALITY UNDER THIS ROOF!"

Beomgyu stared from his raged red-faced uncle to his pale aunt. "All right," he said, "all right. . ."

Breathing like winded bull, Uncle Telli sat back down, watching Beomgyu closely out of the corners of his small, sharp eyes.

Uncle Telli has never been fond of Beomgyu, and neither was his Aunt much. He and his Aunt were sure to be related. She was his Mother's older sister, after all, but she was a pure-blood. And Leonbi, was his actual blood-related brother. Although, Uncle Telli isn't. He's actually a full-born Muggle. He didn't like 'different'; as Beomgyu would define. Magic would make him scoff in disbelief, he'd call Beomgyu 'abnormal'.

Quite a shock that he'd marry Aunt Saegi, a pure-blood. But. . .she's a witch, who hates magic. Never explained why, but she seemed to have been disgusted by it more. Leonbi, was the same. He actually attends a Muggle school, despite being a pure-blood. Not that Leonbi cared, he was well-known and loved in his school. He would boast about his grades and the many girls that squeal at the sight of him.

Leonbi was raven-haired—Beomgyu would admit he actually was handsome—but he couldn't say the same about his nastiness towards Beomgyu. Leonbi was their favourite, as you can tell. Treated him like an actual son. And despite being actually siblings, Leonbi has grown to treat Beomgyu like an acquaintance, not a stranger, because Beomgyu loved magic. His brother would talk about their real parents, but it was only all about how stupid they were to think they fought something that didn't concern them, and that magic is what gotten them killed. Beomgyu wasn't sure if he had loved Leonbi as true; because he has been treated this way for as long as he can remember, and can't recall a single memory of Leonbi actually being nice to him.
