i woke up with a blaring headache.

must've had too much to drink last night huh..

"fuck.." i got out of bed and immediately went downstairs to the kitchen

"morning sunshine" i was greeted by a smiling himeno who was cooking "morning himeno..."

"hangover got you huh, well i mean who the fuck thinks its a great idea to drink on a wednesday night" the girl snickers

"i couldnt resist kishibe's offer" i sat down on the chair.

himeno grabs water from the fridge and pours a glass for me.

"here have this, and ill make you tea after i finish cooking these eggs and sausages" she hands me the glass of water and goes back to cooking

"thanks.." i drank the entire thing in one go.

"by the way himeko, makima told me to come to her office today" i stared at the empty glass my hand was holding.

"hmm.. i heard that you were being paired up with the new kid" himeko replies.

"new kid?" i looked at her with a puzzled look. she looks at me while turning off the stove and preparing the food for us

"yeah, heard he was half devil half human. just like you" she smiled.

"well that's just great, what's this new kid's name?" i scoffed

"i think it was denji?" she said with a hint of uncertainty

"okay, i just hope he's not annoying" himeko puts the plates of our food on the table and sits in front of me.

we finished eating and i went upstairs to start preparing myself to go makima's office.

i finally finished preparing and went downstairs to grab my keys. before i go outside i shout "himeko, i'm gonna leave now. take care of my cat for me"

"okaaayyy" she responds dragging the “ay” in okay

i go out and lock the door. i head to my car and start driving to makimas.

i finally arrived and made my way to her office. i knock on the door and hear her voice go "come in!"

denji's pov

"a buddy huh.. i hope they won't be annoying" i suddenly hear knocking on the door and makima instructs the person to come in.

the person walks up and is now standing next to me. i look up to see—

a woman...?

"denji, this is going to be your new partner/boss. her name is y/n" she puts on a smile and points her hand to y/n

"and y/n this is denji, he'll be your new partner or apprentice.. i guess" she then points her hand to me

y/n looks at me with a smile that i could tell was fake. she then reaches her hand out for a handshake "hi, nice to meet you mr. denji"

i shake her hand and smile too "nice to meet you too"

"i hope the two of you get along well— ah! i almost forgot, aki will be joining you two but he won't be around too much, it'll mostly be just and the both of you" she smiles at the us

y/n looks at both me and aki "since me and aki have already been put together before, i hope we would get along with you too denji" she says while smiling brightly

"well, i have a great feeling that the three of you will enjoy being together" she says with a hint of enthusiasm.

"oh! and another thing— the heads told me it would be best suitable if the three of you lived together so y/n, the movers have already made their way to your house and have started moving your stuff to aki's apartment" she says smiling

"oh that's great miss makima! wait— WHAT!?" y/n looks at makima with disbelief
