CHAPTER 14.

"Ah,  All the makings of a lovely day," Cami gasps as she wakes up, "Ah, Camille! Finally awake. Perfect. You've got a big day ahead of you." 

"You bit me." She snaps at Lucien.

"And sampled quite a bit of your blood, actually. It was very tasty. Although more bitter than I expected." 

"Oh, my God. I'm gonna die." Cami voice quavered.

"Yeah. Apologies. But, to be honest, your Days were numbered the moment you entered Nik's orbit 'Tis ever thus for those who get close to the bastard. Myself excluded, Ah, care for tea? " As Cami to run and he grabs her by the hair and she throws objects at him, "Oh, please, Cami. Have you not learned? If you try to fight me, you will always lose," Lucien prattled as Cami groaned, and sighed, "Enough. If you insist on making things difficult..." 

Cami came staggering into the compound and seeing Klaus and Hayley, she said, "Klaus?" and panting, she said again, "Klaus? "

"What is it?" He said turning to look at her.

"Something happened and you're gonna be angry, but Lucien wants you to be angry. He's trying to lure you into a trap." Cami said to him and looked at Hayley. 

"What did he do?" Klaus demanded, as Cami showed him the werewolf bite on her neck. 

"Promise me you won't fly off the handle and do something crazy. Promise me. Before you lose it... Klaus..." Holding his arm, "I won't let you get yourself killed." 

"Camille..." Hayley said sadly looking at the bite.   

"You're not dying today," Klaus tried to assure her. 

"Cami? Cami," Freya called, "Cami..., Hey. Are you alright?" Freya asked her, looking at a pale confused Cami. 

"Yeah. Considering," Cami said softly, hoarsely. 

"Hold still. This is going to burn" Freya said to Cami laying on the bed in the guest room.

 Camille Gasps, "Ow. Ow, what is that? " She asks as Freya applies the cream to her neck.

"It's a healing salve. Motherwort, White willow bark. The recipe's over 1,000 Years old."

"So, the good stuff, huh?" 

"Well, it will ease the pain, dull the symptoms, but... it won't stop the infection." 

"So I'm screwed. "

"We're gonna do everything that we can, Cami." 

Elijah said, "Cami, I'm so sorry," Walking into the room.

"You should be. This is your fault. It was you who turned Lucien into a beast." Klaus said bitterly. 

"Klaus. Stop. It's not his fault," Cami said, And Hayley nodded in agreement the last thing she wanted was for the Brother's to fight and she knew Klaus was feeling guilty about Cami being made a vampire and now getting bitten, 

Hayley said, "Cami's right. We all need to work together to fix this." 

"Yeah. Yeah, I think I know how to fix it. Lucien has always been obsessed with me. He made himself like me. My bite is cured by my blood. Do you think his blood can save her?" Klaus asked. 

Elijah thoughtfully replied, "It makes sense. Lucien would want that power. Allowing him to lord himself over his victim." 

"Okay, so we got a working theory. Now we gotta test it." Hayley said.
