Chapter 3

As soon as I walked inside that club I saw her, she was facing the bar but I could tell it was her. Every inch of me wanted to go to her, buy her a drink and strike a conversation but I was nervous. I knew starting something with a girl like her would end in disaster.

So I decided to go for her dull friend whom I had no interest in , I don't even remember the girls name. I bought her a drink and chatted with her the whole night while my eyes were always landing on Lilly every few seconds.

She looked annoyed, its the first time in her entire life where she was not the centre of attention. I'm was not following her around like a lost puppy.

She drowned herself in cocktails .Insecurity was  building up from her core as she tried to bury it with alcohol even though her efforts had become futile.

Her hazel eyes scanned the room desperate for an escape up until she finally gave up and decided to leave. The little red  dress she wore did justice for her behind, her hips swaying as she furiously walked away from us. I felt my pants getting tighter and the room getting warmer.

I  stood up from my chair leaving her friend behind and stealthily followed  her to the door then got in my car and followed the Uber to make sure she got home safely.A sigh of relief escaped when I saw her exit the Uber and entering her mother's house.

Lilly p.o.v

I woke up the next morning to the sound of my mother furiously banging on my bedroom doors.

" Lilly wake up!, why are you still asleep at this hour. It's 11am and you're still in bed."

There she was with her constant nagging, my head hurt even more and her voice was so loud and annoying.

I put a pillow over my head to hopefully block her out until she gave up and left my door. I decided not to leave my room that day, I didn't feel like eating so I took asprin on an empty stomach,

BAD DECISION!!!.

I had the worst stomach cramps, I was dizzy and weak.Let's just say I learned my lesson. After some time mother came to check on me again this time I opened the door for her, I could feel my head spinning and my hands were shaking and weak. Reaching the door  took eternity.The moment she layed eyes on me she could see I was not ok.

" What happened to you? Tell me what's wrong. Why didn't you tell us you were sick!.
You are just like your father, stubborn."

I rolled my eyes, she was nagging ,again!.

I honestly thought she was overreacting like she always did.

" I'm calling the doctor, he need to come see you now!.

The sense of urgency in her voice was overwhelming.

" Mom it's nothing, you don't need to worry yourself. I'll just sleep it off."

She didn't listen to me as always and went ahead to call our family doctor.

" Hello Vic , Lilly is not feeling well can you come over and check on her.?

She called our doctor Vic since he was one of her friends Son. Apparently he used to play with me when we were younger, she claims but I don't remember him......like ever.

And she mentioned that every chance she got.The same way she invited him over  everytime I sneezed or coughed.

I rolled my eyes again regretting ever opening the door for her.

SHOOT ME NOW!!.

Vic was so draining. He bored me to death, I literally fantasized about cutting my throat everytime I was around him.

He's was that bad!.

Probably the reason mom liked him so much. He was just not my type.

He wore plain beige pants, white shirt and those surburban DAD sweaters. Everytime I saw him he was dressed like that. He was so plain, even the way walked and  talked was painfully dull.

He didn't excite me at all in any way but my mother was literally shoving him  down my throat every change she got.
