OVERVIEW

November 13th, 1983. Monica's 16th birthday. Some people would normally call it a sweet sixteen and treat it as if it's a big grand party with family and friends. Monica didn't understand it since it was just like every other birthday and when they sing the birthday song would just make things worse. All she wanted was to have a "strictly platonic" date with Nancy Wheeler. To go to the mall or maybe hang out in her house, watching movies. But of course, she didn't get that.

Funny enough, it was only a few days after Will Byers' "magical" disappearance that messed everything up. At the same time, was the day that Nancy started to take an interest in the brown-eyed, arrogant, perfect in charming girls "Steve Harrington" with his stuck-up friends. Ever since he came in, life doesn't make sense. Although on the day of her birthday, it was a big deal. But for a different reason. Barb is dead and there's a blood-sucking monster/alien there that might have something to do with it and Will Byers' disappearance. Either way, it brings the iconic detective duo that once was Nancy Wheeler and Monica Suzuki. Maybe being sixteen isn't that bad after all.
