Draco's PoV -
Draco had somehow made it through the first 4 lessons of the day. The first was definitely his least favourite; he had been forced to tolerate the company of Granger because of Pansy. And though he had found her much more bearable than she had been in the past, it was hardly an ideal situation. Not only had he been forced to deal with someone who was basically a stranger, but he also had to endure the torment of Blaise, who sat beside him, poking him in the face to try and get a reaction. He had been by far the most annoying about the whole 'Potter's soulmate' thing.
In fact, Blaise was the one who woke him up by referring to him as 'Potter's Future Husband'.
The whole situation was absolutely infuriating to Draco, not only because of the ridiculousness of having some kind of connection with Potter, but the fact that he wasn't even the one who found out first. There was no way he could escape the harassment from Theo and Blaise since they had known of this before he had. Why Potter couldn't have put off writing stupid notes on his arm till the morning, he would never know.
In truth, he had assumed, from the moment he laid eyes on his own forearm, that this was some sick joke by one of the wankers. That was, until he was unable to remove the dreadfully written words.
Despite recognising Potter's handwriting, he prayed that this was somehow a plan amongst his friends and that a Slytherin girl had written it in hopes of tricking him. The circumstances were, however, undeniable after logic finally hit him, and perhaps even more dire than if he hadn't had a soulmate at all.
The worst moment of his day came when he entered the Great Hall. There was more chattering than there usually was in the mornings, and within seconds, the news of 'what the Golden Boy had written on his arm to find his soulmate' arrived at his table. Theo and Blaise pointedly looked at him, and he glared at them till they buggered off and stopped making it obvious. And so, instead, they listened to Pansy drone on and on about how pretty Granger was, and how Granger was smart enough to have the idea of what to put on Potter's arm.
And, with his new-found knowledge of Granger's involvement, Draco was incredibly pissed off. He had to deal with her in potions (as Pansy had pleaded him to) and try not to kill her for being the reason he was currently being mercilessly bullied by his friends.
It wasn't all bad though. Thankfully, nobody knew about his predicament other than his two best friends - both of whom he would have trusted with such a matter anyway.
It was also rather amusing to Draco that he knew Potter would never end up finding his soulmate. He was absolutely certain that he would not entertain the idea of being nice to Potter (let alone anything more than that), so he figured he would simply sit and watch as the Golden Trio tried to track down someone who didn't really exist. Or someone who definitely wasn't going to give up their identity very easily.
The only thing that completely perplexed Draco was the fact that he was, beyond a shadow of a doubt, Potter's soulmate. They were, according to the laws of this spell, destined to get along with each other perfectly. Not only that, but they were also meant to have, at the very least, the potential for romance.
Draco already knew that he was gay; he had figured that out when he was 14 and he and Pansy shared a kiss (which cleared up that both were gay very quickly). But despite the knowledge that he found men attractive, he definitely did not find Potter attractive. He was handsome, in an untidy, chaotic sort of way, but he was such a self-absorbed do-gooder that his appearance hardly mattered in the grand scheme of things.
It was hardly of consequence to Draco; despite his previous wishes for a soulmate, this certainly was not what he had in mind, and it was unacceptable. He would never stoop so low as to enjoy Potter's company, and he would certainly never stoop so low as to love the man.

Sorry this took so much longer than all the other chapters, I had a lot of stuff going on with starting school, my own birthday and parties and stuff. <3 anyway I hope this is okay, the next chapters will be longer and hopefully better xx x ilyyy guys
