Chapter 9

*2 hours later*

Jungkook and Jin were sitting on the couch in Jungkook's living room, just chatting when Jimin finally came downstairs. He was still sleepy as he sat down next to Jungkook, resting his head on Kook's shoulder. Jungkook smiled and wrapped an arm around Jimin. "Sleep well, baby?" Jimin nodded his head, not talking. Jin watched the two lovebirds with a smile on his face. "Are you hungry, Jiminie? I can cook you something." He said. Jimin nodded his head again. "Alright, I'll be in the kitchen." Jin said and went to Jungkook's kitchen.
As soon as Jin disappeared, Jungkook cupped Jimin's cheeks gently and tilted his head up to face him. "Why are you not talking, baby? Is everything okay?" He asked, his voice laced with worry. Jimin's eyes flooded with fresh tears as he looked at Jungkook. "I'm scared Jungkookie..." Jimin said, his voice wobbly and cracking. Jungkook pecked Jimin's lips softly. "I'll protect you baby, even if I have to risk my life to do so. I will not let Wonho anywhere near you." Jimin hid his face in Jungkook's chest as he cried while Jungkook held him close, whispering comforting words in his ear.
Listening to Jimin's sobs was hurting Jungkook more than he wanted to admit, so he began crying while holding a crying Jimin. Jin could hear them from the kitchen as he made some kimchi fried rice for all three of them. Suddenly, his phone, that was on the kitchen counter, began to ring, so Jin grabbed it and answered the call. "Hello?" The caller turned out to be Hoseok. "Hey, Jin hyung! Where are you and Jungkook? We had plans to hang out today, remember?" He said. Jin had completely forgot about their plans. "Sorry, Hobi, we can't today. Kook and I have to take care of Jiminie." He explained, hoping Hobi will understand. "Oh, it's okay. What happened to Jiminie?" Hobi asked. "His ex, Wonho, showed up at the cafe and, from what we can tell so far, Jimin didn't have the best relationship with him." Jin explained to Hobi. "Oh my... Yoongi and I are coming over. Are you at Jungkook's place?" Hobi asked, and Jin could hear shuffling and Yoongi's voice in the background. "Yeah, we're at Kook's. See you soon." Jin said. "See ya!" Hobi said and hung up. Jin sighed and put his phone on the counter, then tasted the meal he was making.
Meanwhile in the living room, Jimin's cries had calmed down to soft sniffles. He looked up at Jungkook and gasped softly when he noticed tears rolling down Kook's cheeks. "Baby, why are you crying? Please don't cry!" Jimin said, his voice slightly panicky as he wiped Jungkook's tears away with the sleeve of Jungkook's shirt he was wearing. Jungkook looked down at Jimin, his bottom lip trembling. "It hurts me to see and hear you crying like that. It breaks my heart." He explained and closed his eyes as more tears rolled down his cheeks. Jimin kept wiping away his tears with his sleeve. "Babe, please don't cry..." Jungkook opened his eyes and looked at Jimin again. "It's okay, I have to let it out." He said, then kissed Jimin softly. Jimin kissed Jungkook back, still holding his face with his sweater paws.
Soon after, the doorbell rang, so Jin went to open the door, thinking it's Hobi and Yoongi. But when he opened the door, shock took over him.
"Hi, Jin hyung!" Jungkook pulled away from Jimin when he heard the female voice coming from the front door. He got up and made his way to the front door, but stopped abruptly when he saw who the voice belonged to. "Lisa? What the hell are you doing here? How do you know where I live?" By the time Jungkook was finished asking the questions, Jimin was already standing next to him, looking rather confused. Lisa looked at Jimin, a dissatisfied look showing up on her face, but it disappeared as soon as she looked at Jungkook. "Jungkookie, oh, how I missed you!" She said with an overly wide smile on her face as she walked over to Jungkook and hugged him. Jungkook was frozen in shock, so he didn't hug her back. Lisa looked at Kook with an over exaggerated pout on her face. "Kookie, didn't you miss me?" She asked him, but, instead of replying, Jungkook pushed her away. "No, I didn't miss you, Lisa. Not one bit. Now, do us all a favour and leave." Lisa then glared at Jungkook. "I won't leave until you take me back." But Jungkook's answer was short and simple. "No."
