Helping Souls (Jikook ff)

Chapter 5

*On Saturday*
Jimin was standing in front of his closet with his hands on his hips while trying to decide what to wear to his date with Jungkook. At last, he decided on a pastel purple sweater with a tank top underneath, light denim jeans and his favourite sneakers. Jimin then sat down at his vanity and applied some light makeup.
Meanwhile, Jungkook was getting ready as well. He had just gotten out of the shower and was now deciding on what to wear. After calling Hobi for help, he decided on a white long sleeve shirt with a pink fluffy sweater on top, that has a deep neck line, along with his favourite light ripped jeans and his black sneakers. Once he was dressed, he sprayed on some cologne, put on a few rings and combed his hair. After that, he sat down on his bed and took a deep breath to calm his nerves. He then went downstairs, grabbed the picnic basket and car keys, put the basket in the trunk and drove to Jimin's place to pick him up. By the time Jungkook arrived, Jimin was fully ready. After hearing the car honk, Jimin rushed downstairs and out of his house, then got into the car and leaned over to kiss Jungkook's cheek. "Hi, Jungkookie!" He said and smiled. Jungkook smiled and began driving again. "Hi, Jiminie! You look gorgeous." He complimented Jimin while driving. "Thank you, Jungkookie, you look gorgeous as well." Jimin said. They spent the rest of the drive just talking about what they did during the week.
Once they arrived at the flower meadow, Jungkook opened the car door for Jimin and helped him get out of the car. "Oh wow, Kookie, this place is so beautiful!" Jimin said, blown away by the beauty of the meadow. While Jimin was marveling at the meadow, Jungkook took the picnic basket out of the trunk. The sound of the trunk closing caught Jimin's attention, so he looked at Jungkook and gasped softly. "Aw, you prepared a picnic?" Jungkook smiled and nodded. "Yeah, my friend Jin helped me with the food. He's a much better cook than I am" He said, then grabbed Jimin's hand and led him to the spot he chose for the picnic. After they set up the blanket and food, they sat down and started eating. "Mmm, Jin really is a good cook" Jimin said and smiled after tasting the sandwiches Jin made for them. "Yeah, his cooking is wonderful." Jungkook agreed. Once they finished eating, Jungkook looked at Jimin and smiled. "How about we make flower crowns for each other?" He offered. Jimin's eyes lit up. "Yes, let's do that!" He said and got up from the blanket. Then they walked over to the meadow and began picking flowers and making the flower crowns. Jimin chose to make Jungkook's flower crown from cornflowers and daisies, whereas Jungkook chose to make Jimin's from poppies and daisies. Jungkook finished his quicker, so he walked over to Jimin and gently placed it on Jimin's head, then wrapped his arms around Jimin's waist from behind. "How's mine coming along?" He asked. Jimin smiled. "It's almost finished, hold on" He said, then finished Jungkook's flower crown. He turned around in Kookie's arms and reached up to place the flower crown on his head. "There. Beautiful." He said, then wrapped his arms around Jungkook's neck. "You look beautiful, Jimin." Jungkook said softly, then lifted his hand up and caressed Jimin's cheek gently. Jimin blushed and looked down. "You look handsome, Jungkook." He mumbled, loud enough for Jungkook to hear. Jungkook chuckled softly in response and lifted Jimin's head to face him. "Can I kiss you?" He asked softly, glancing at Jimin's lips, then looking back at his eyes. "Yes, you can." Jimin said. Jungkook leaned in and captured Jimin's plump lips softly with his own, kissing Jimin so softly as if he was a delicate flower.
