Chapter 2: Killer in Innocence

Beholder: Sigil visited the alternate earth to investigate the new species only to find it the girl is the center of all the deaths, connections to her childhood, and her gruesome murders including those of her friend's family, as he struggles to find more proof about what the teenage mutant is and what her true purpose is, he discovers his answer in the form of the maple house, the residents here and Lucy, currently in the gentle and harmless persona of Nyu. The paragon enforcer must maintain his disguise in found for information regarding the Diclonius race, but how he'll respond to the sight of Lucy in the flesh?    

Sigil as sawyer is as shocked as he's frozen in fear as he sees Lucy in person for the first time in his life. However, there's something different about Lucy, she's nicer, kinder, and pleasant instead of cold, murderous, and psychotic, and strangely enough, she's can speak in complete sentences as she introduces herself to sawyer in good manners only to see him standing in fear as he stared at her, then Kouta snapped his fingers to bring him to reality. "oh, um. Sorry I got lost in my own mind all of the sudden." Then sigil in the guise of a sawyer shakes hands with her and apologizes for his rude behavior and introduces himself as well, he's a tourist on the trip to see the sights of the Kamakura area. 

He then asks how did the maple house come to be, yuka explained it is her mother who brought it house and it used to be a restaurant, she even allows Kouta to live there to maintain its grounds. Sawyer said the other girls are in this house, two of them. 

As Mayu kindly introduces herself to him, nana did the same, saying it is nice to meet them, including Nozomi, and how they come here as their new home, after some brief explanations, some dinner time, and awkward gossip, sigil wanted to ask nana, alone.

Sawyer tells her he has a secret that nana must swear to keep from others knowing who he truly is. But first, he tells nana how she ended up in this house and why there are horns on her head and this Nyu person living there. And more importantly: what kind of species does she come from? Nana is nervous about this but is willing to tell mainly because she's afraid of what will if she doesn't. the race she and Nyu came from is called the Diclonius, a mutant with horns on their hands and possessing vectors to kill humans, sigil asks why to kill humans. 

She answers they're born with the killer instinct and spread the virus to create more like her and Nyu, he's surprised to hear this, and then she takes off her prosthetic arm, he's even more surprised to see this! He asked naan how did she end up like this? She said it because of Lucy, astounded he responds with this "so that's her name, Lucy." And she explains that the Diclonius have a unique ability to sense each's presence when they're in the same area and sigil guess that her first meeting didn't go so well, nana agreed for she's almost killed by her if it wasn't for her papa,               

Sigil ask her who is her father's name, and nana responds his name is director Kurama, he was the one who saved her when her mission to recapture Lucy failed, losing both her arms and legs in the process, he stated his dearest sympathy for her, but she said with the smile on her face she does found the place in the maple house and the people she calls family and she told him that Lucy has split personalities, one he main personality, Lucy a cold-hearted killer, the another is Nyu, a gentle, kind-hearted girl he just meets right now, she's raised in the facility, on the island far from here. Sigil then says "island? "nana said is off coast Kamakura. 

Sigil finally got the information he needed to obtain, he then returns to the maple house with nana to announce that he's leaving for another trip and he thanks the residents for the tour, their hospitality, and kindness, he'll be off. 

As he says his goodbyes, he obverses Nyu one more time, he begins to wonder if Lucy is asleep and Nyu is in control, wouldn't that be possible if Lucy did see him through the Eyes of Nyu? If he had to guess she probably has, that's a terrifying thought. It's better to keep his distance from her for one wrong move may awaken Lucy and his death sentence will be carried out.
