A tall, fair-skinned man with long, black hair and featureless white eyes with him lavender who had on loose-fitting robes very traditionally with a long-sleeved brown was looking down at the feminine Hyuga boy in front of him, who was none other than his eight years old who was looking down at the ground avoiding the intense stares on him.

He slowly lifted his head as he dared to look the main branch elder, including his grandfather, in the eye. He held his tiny hands in front of him as they were clutched together as he waited for them to address him. His dark hair was neatly brushed on his face and chest, his lip nervously as he waited for them to address him.

"Masaru Hyuga," Hiashi, his uncle, addressed.

He looked up at his uncle, stareing at him with his featureless eyes like every Hyuga as he looked at his uncle with confusion and curiosity in them.  Hiashi looked at Masaru and sighed before he continued."As a branch family member, it is your duty to protect the main family. You will be marked with the Caged Bird Seal."

Masaru nodded calmly, although, on the inside, he was absolutely terrified. He had heard of the Caged Bird Seal and the pain that comes with it. He scolded himself mentally. He should have known that this would happen. It was Hanabi's third birthday, which meant someone was going to get the seal. The same thing happened on his cousin Hinata's birthday when his older brother got his seal.

His pale eyes pale eyes looked into his uncle Hiashi's eyes, and he stood calmly waiting to get the seal. It was quick but getting the seal still hurt really bad. Masaru felt a burning sensation where the curse mark was. He bit his lip to distract himself from the pain he was feeling. He glanced at the main branch members and lifted her head. Masaru bowed politely to the main family members and quickly left the room.

Later that night, a small boy stared at his reflection. He glared ar himself. He knew that his hair would show the seal on his forehead. So he grabbed some bandages and wrapped them around his forehead. Masaru smiled at himself, proud of his work. People would ask why he had bandages on, but at this point, he was too exhausted to care as he laid down on his bed and started up at the ceiling in his room.  He closed his eyes and knew that getting the seal was the first of the many painful situations he would have to endure as a shinboi.

A woman with fair skin, long dark hair, and featureless white eyes with a hint of lavender wearing a black kimono and knee-length shorts slowly opened the door and walked over towards the young boy lying on the bed in the room.

"Hello, my Rabbit Prince. I'm sorry I wasn't here for you when you got the seal," She whispered."Though I'm here now, and you won't have to endure it alone, my precious som," She said, kissing his forehead before she walked back out of the room, leaving her youngest son to rest.
