The Will of A Rabbit Prince || Naruto Fanfiction [Shikamaru Nara] [1]

1: Graduation

Masaru, a young eleven-year-old boy, woke up to his alarm clock going off in his ear. He yawned and stretched his arms as he sat on up in bed. He moved his head towards the nightstand on his left as he shut the alarm clock off. 

It had been four years since he was given the Caged Bird Seal on his forehead, just like his older brother Neji and the rest of his closest family members like his mother. Masaru and his brother Neji aren't as close as they used to be with his older brother's obsession with destiny. However, that doesn't stop him from caring about his family.

"Well, I better start getting ready for the Academy," Hw said as he pulled the brown blankets off of his body as he got right out of his bed.

Masaru headed to the bathroom to take a nice warm shower before getting dressed and ready to start his day. He then walked back ou of the bathroom ten minutes later, wearing a dark purple and white kimono with dark purple shorts stopping right before his knees.

He walked over to his wall, and he looked at the family picture of his parents standing behind him with him and Neji standing in front of them smiling.

'Father, I miss you so much. Neji hasn't been the same since your death, and mother doesn't seem to know how to fix it, but she has been doing the best she can when she is not on missions.'  He thought, rubbing a hand against the picture.

He then walked out of his bedroom.

Masaru walked into the kitchen, where he saw his mother cooking pancakes and bacon.

"Morning, mom," Masaru greeted as he sat down at the table.

"Good morning, my rabbit Prince," His mom greeted, placing a plate down in front of him.

"Thanks; however, I still don't know why you call me that," Masaru said before taking a bite of bacon.

"Because you are cute like a rabbit," His mom smiled.

"Oh," He said quietly, returning to eat g his breakfast.

"Are you walking to class, Hinata?" she asked.

"Of course."

After finishing his breakfast, Masaru stood up and headed to his plate to his mom as he put on his sandals on and left to head to Hinata's house in the Hyuga compounded to walk to the academy together.

Masaru and Hinata arrived at the academy and saw that Sasuke Uchiha was the first one here. The two cousins then sat next to each other in the back.

After a couple of minutes, more and more students entered the classroom.

Masaru sighed as he felt multiple presences behind him and looked to see his fangirls behind him.

"Hi, Masaru-kun."

"Masaru-kun, please go out on a date with me."

"No, be my boyfriend, Masaru-kun!"

"I LOVE YOU, MASARU!"

"Girls, stop. I'm not interested. Why not go bother Sasuke," Masaru said with a sigh.

To his relief, Iruka walked into the classroom making the girls go sit down before he started roll call. When he was interrupted as Chunin burst in, saying Naruto had vandalized the Hokage monument. Iruka told the class to stay out of trouble as he went to get Naruto.
