Saved by the alarm

A/n: I do not own ninjago or any art in this book.

I also know nothing about It so don't get mad at me if I get something wrong. Sorry if they seem ooc too.

~Lloyd's POV~
It had been nearly 10 months since the events of The Sons of Garmadon, I and the team had fought multiple villains since then like Aspheera, Unigami and, well, I guess that's it. For the last month, it's been very quiet, almost too quiet. Kai is convinced that there's a land above the clouds that has an evil king, but he's been getting a bit crazy about the silence.

Anyway, it was getting dark and we had all just finished training, we decided to watch a movie. Kai made the popcorn and Zane found some blankets and cushions whilst Cole and Jay were fighting over what movie to watch. Nya and I were just watching in amusement. Finally, we all sat down and decided to choose what movie to watch.

"How about a scary one?" Cole suggested.
"Sure"
"Which one?"
"NO"
"Yeah"
"Okay"

"Hey Zane, can you shuffle all the horror films you have and randomly choose one?" I said so we didn't have to argue. "Alright," Zane replied, "We will watch It."
Then we heard someone say, "Helloo is everybody just ignoring me? I don't want to watch a horror film."
Oh right, Jay's here.

"Jayyy... stop being a party pooper," Cole said, "come snuggle next to me."
"....fine."

Cole and Jay have been together for about a month now, 3 months after Zane and Kai came out as a couple and 2 month after Nya and Skylor came out too. Of course that left me, all alone with nobody to share my love with, sad times.

Nobody knows this but, to be honest, I don't like horror films, they creep me out, especially It.
You see, once when I was younger, I had a really bad fear of clowns and one day, back in  Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Boys, a boy named Brad had dressed up as a creepy clown. He had scared the life out of me, believe me, it was way too realistic. Ever since that day I have never felt the same way about clowns, even though I had always hated them in the first place. All he did was make my fear grow.

Back out of my mind, I realised that they had put It on (get it? No? Haha....). Time to hide. As I began to place my blanket in front of my eyes discreetly, so no one finds out I'm scared, obviously, the alarm came on. Yes!

But just so no one suspects anything, I acted as if I was really enjoying the movie by complaining about how I was really enjoying it (even though it had only just started), in fact I think I accidentally made it seem like I was faking it all.

"Nooo, and I was really enjoying the movie too, why villain? Why? What did I do to you to cause me so much pain?"

~Cole's POV~

Okay is it just me, or did that seem really fake. I've been convinced for a while now that Lloyd doesn't like horror films and I'm pretty sure this just proves my theory. But going back to his act back then, he over did it, like way too much for it not to seem fake. Anybody who doesn't see through it is definitely dumb. I mean, he even stood up to just fall onto his knees again.
I heard a voice come from next to me.

"How are you sad the alarm went off? If I could go up to the villain who made us stop watching this film, and kiss them, then I would."
"Jay, I do not think that is wise, you could get seriously injured if you do that."
"Zane, buddy, I don't think I would ever do that, especially with Cole around."
"But you would if Cole wasn't around?"
"Kai, tell your boyfriend to shut up."
"The villains gonna get away soon, if you all don't shut up and leave, right now."

Of course Nya would want to get on with the mission. The villain had robbed the bank, the bank that was across the road from Chen's Noodle House, where Skylor, Nya's girlfriend, worked. She was obviously planning to go there after we dealt with the robbery.

~A few minutes later~

Finally, we had arrived at the bank, only to realise the villain was only fugi-dove and had already been caught by the police.

Just then Kai spoke up, "Seriously! We stopped watching one of the best movies ever just so we could see a so-called villain being arrested by the police! Worst. Mission. Ever."

I couldn't help but agree with him so I added," I know right, I was really hoping to get into a real fight, with someone other than you guys, no offense."
"None taken." Zane said.
Nya then decided to take her chances,"Anyway, now that we're here, why don't we go order something from Chen's, it's literally right there?"
"Yes please"
"What about the film..?" Right, Lloyd just wants to make it seem like he wants to watch it.
"We can watch it some other time, I am a bit hungry so I wouldn't mind something to eat." He owes me.
"I know you Nya, you only want to see Skylor, but fine I could go for some noodles." Kai replied, knowing he would have to go anyway.

~Lloyd's POV~

Thank you Fugi-dove for failing to successfully rob the bank. I would have died if I had to watch anymore of that film.
