You wake up with a jolt from a terrible nightmare. The same one you've been having since the death of your parents. You try to fall asleep but are unsuccessful as you have too much energy now. You look over at your clock and it reads 3:45. You sigh and get out of bed. You throw on an oversized hoodie and a pair of shorts.

As you exit your room and enter the commons room in the Valorant headquarters, you look around to see if anyone is in the hallway. You obviously see no one so you continue to make your way there. You walk past the commons room into the cafeteria and make yourself a cup of coffee at the bar. You drink your beverage when suddenly you hear footsteps behind you.

You turn your neck and see one of the agents you almost never work for. He is tall, much taller than you, with a muscly figure. He has black framed glasses and golden tattoos that start on the left side of his head.

"Oh, hello, mademoiselle. What are you doing up at this hour?" The agent asks you in his sultry, French accent.

"The same could be asked for you, sir." You give him the title sir as you have not yet learned his name. You turn back around, sipping your coffee once more. You hear his footsteps grow closer until he takes a seat at the bar beside you. You look over at him and see his brown eyes look back at you.

"My name is Chamber. Or Vincent, if you will." He says, smiling.

"Y/N." You reply, looking away from him so it doesn't seem like your staring at his beautiful features. He notices you quickly looking away and he chuckles.

"You can stare all you wish, mon chére, I do not mind." He laughs. You blush and look down at the mug on the island as you let out a soft laugh in response.

"Sorry," you groan. even though he said he didn't mind, you still felt awkward. You glance back over to him and he smirks at you.

"Why are you drinking coffee this early? Should you not be trying to fall asleep?" He asks when he notices your beverage.

"I had a nightmare and would prefer to stay awake." You sigh. He hums and walks over to the other side of the bar.

"Would you like to talk about it?" He asks as a warm smile grows on his face. You look up at him to see him preparing a cup of tea for himself.

"It was just some silly dream about my parents," you say before yawning and sipping your coffee once more.

"Mmm.. I doubt it was 'silly'." Vincent hums, resting his chin on the palm of his hand. You can tell he wants to listen to you, but you don't want to tell him about it just yet. You look down at your coffee and realize you've finished it. You ignore Vincent's comment as you place the mug in the sink and begin to walk away.

"Have a good night, Vincent." You say while continuing to walk towards the commons room.

"Wait, mademoiselle. Did I upset you?" You hear him say from behind you. You turn around and try your hardest to look sincerely happy.

"No, I'm fine. Honestly." You say with a soft smile.

"Just a bit tired." You add.

"Do you mind if I walk with you, chére?" Vincent asks, walking closer to you.

"Sure, I wouldn't mind the company for a while." You say once he makes his way to your side.

"How come I have never worked with you? I have worked with all of the other agents before." Vincent asks with a puzzled expression on his face.

"I'm just a weapon cleaner. I don't have any radianite powers or anything like the other agents do." You explain. You then look at Vincent, who is looking at you and sucking the inside of his bottom lip.

"Is that so..? Truly fascinating, I must say." He says, smirking.

"Fascinating how?" You ask while tilting your head to the side.

"Fascinating how I have yet to meet you before today. I've been missing out." Vincent's comment makes you blush and you try to hide it by looking away. You finally make it into the commons room and Vincent puts a hand on your shoulder. His touch against your clothed body makes you smile.

"I can tell that you are not tired, amour. Why don't we sit in here and get to know each other more?" He says while looking down at you. It's hard for you to hide your eagerness as you nod your head in response to his suggestion. He chuckles and takes his hand off of your shoulder as he takes a seat on one of the couches. You follow and sit beside him.

"So.. Y/N.. How long have you been cleaning guns here?" He asks in a soft tone.

"About six months now.." You respond, trailing off. You look at his features, now in the light. His face is perfect and his brown hair is messier than it usually is during the day. He's wearing a loose hoodie and gray sweatpants. You spend longer than you thought identifying him.

"Are you enjoying your view, Y/N? Any questions or comments?" He chuckles at his joke and your face becomes hot. You look away and nuzzle your face between your knees.

"Yeah." You mumble into your knees. Vincent raises an eyebrow and smirks at you once again.

"You have checked me out so often, madam. I am starting to wonder if I look strange." He says. You definitely think that he looks the opposite of strange, but you don't want to tell him that.

"Do I look strange?" He asks with hooded eyelids.

"N-no." You look at him for a split second to see him lean back and smile.

"What is it then, chaton?" He says, this time in a deeper tone. You sigh and close your eyes.

"Nothing," you mumble. You forbid yourself from telling him that you want him, and you want him bad.

"You are so easy to read, belle... However, I want you to tell me what it is." His demanding tone causes your breath to halt for a moment. You open your mouth but nothing comes out.

"You... Look good." You finally say. You unbury your head from your knees, looking at Vincent. You see him shake his head as he stands up.

"Come to room seventeen and let me know when you're ready to be honest." He says, walking away.
