Chapter 5 - news

"Welcome, Y/N! You may take a seat there." Brim says, motioning to an empty seat next to Neon. She smiles at you as you sit beside her. You rest your hands in your lap and analyze the food in front of you. You look around and find that nobody at the table is eating, so you decide to do the same. Looking around, you take mental note of where everyone is seated and notice that there is one empt seat to your left. Everyone from the Valorant headquarters is here except for Vincent. You then hear footsteps approaching the table and see Vincent sit beside you. He looks over to you and smiles.

"You guys may begin eating," You hear Brim say. Everyone then begins to place food on their plates, and you follow. Once all of the agents are settled with their food they begin to feast. Eating like this, with all of the agents around you, is strange. You are almost never with all of the agents at once, mostly because Brim almost never called team meetings like this.

"So, Brimstone, why did you call all of us here?" Raze says, muffled by a few pieces of beef in her mouth.

"I just thought it would be good for us, you know? Maybe help us get along better." Brim replies, glaring at Yoru and Phoenix, who somehow had already started an argument. The two quickly stop bickering and look back at Brim.

"I don't believe that. You never call team meetings unless it's important." You look over at Sabine as she speaks.

"Okay.. I guess I can go over it now.." Brim says with a sigh. All of the agents give their attention to brim after he says this.

"Everyone here knows of Y/N, right?" He says, gesturing towards you. 'Wait, what? This meeting is about me?' You think, your face turning a shade of pink as everyone looks over to you. They all say some form of 'yes' and look back to brim.

"I need a few of you guys to teach her how to fight; we're running low on agents and I need to recruit her." Your eyes widen and your mouth opens in an attempt to say something, but nothing comes out.

"Is anyone willing to teach her the basics?" in the corner of your eye you see Vincents hand quickly shoot up.

"Okay, Chamber and who else?" Brim adds to his previous question. You then see Sabine raise her hand.

"Alright. You two need to teach her fairly quickly, though, as we have a mission we need to go on in three days. Any questions?" Brim says, looking at you.

"Yeah.. How will I fight if I don't have any radianite powers?" You ask.

"You don't need powers if you can understand the guns well enough." Brim continues, "And you obviously know the guns very well." You say nothing in response and continue to eat your food. The rest of the meal is enjoyed by all of the agents in comfortable silence (other than Yoru and Phoenix's occasional argument). 

Once the meal is finished you head back to your room. You shut and lock the door behind you and lay you back on the bed. While thinking about the mission you're supposed to be sent on you hear a knock on your door, dragging you out of your thoughts.
