By the time freshman year came around, Savannah was not at high school on the first day, nor the second, or third. Savannah wasn't at school for the first whole month. Finally I went to her house to talk about it. I sprinted towards her door that night, the lights were on but no answer.
For the next week, no one left her house except for when they went out to get groceries. This was starting to get suspicious to me.
Finally, I had enough. I ran over to Savannah's that day and knocked on her door,"Savannah! Summers! Please answer," I cry out, but still no one answers me. I run to my room with tears in my eyes, think thoughts that I should not have to have,"Is it my fault!?" I ask myself over and over again. My fears of how Savannah feels right now is haunting me in my mind currently, but I don't care I just want to see her face just once more. That beautiful face... Once more.
For the rest of the year, the closest I ever got to her was just sitting in her curtain closed window, with a single note in my hand that read:
--------------------
Dear Savannah,
I've really been worried about you. You haven't been at school or left your home for over a month and I.. I just want to know if you're okay. I... I love you so much and it drives me crazy that I don't know if you're okay. It hurts me even more though that I can't help you either. But.. Savannah, whatever is going on will never stop me from loving you. Please just let me reach out to you and help.
I love you,
Jake Milton

The note stood in her window for around three weeks, until she finally took it. I looked out of my window and saw her hand reach out and grab it. I couldn't see her face or body but at least I was able to see her self again.Shortly after she took the note I watched in shock as her curtain opened and with a tear in her eye...I saw her, but not the same as before.
