After Jeonghan brought back Joshua's necklace and healed his knee bruise, both boys happily headed toward the resort. Most of the members were still fast asleep, so deciding not to disturb anyone, they go into the kitchen.
"Hungry?" Jeonghan asks when his own stomach growled.
Joshua nodded, "A bit?"
Jeonghan puts two bowls on the table while Joshua is busy with his necklace. "Wash it before wearing," he says to him, trying to find the cereal box in the kitchen.
"Ok," says Joshua, goes toward the sink, and opens the tap.
Useless efforts of opening and slamming the drawers make Jeonghan frustrated, "Just where the hell are cereals in this house?"
"It's in the upper third left cabinet," answers Joshua calmly, as he sits on the dining table and wipes his necklace clean with a cloth.
"Thanks," Jeonghan says with a neutral voice. Next he takes out the milk container from the fridge and pours it into both bowls.
Joshua gasps, "Did you just put the milk first?"
"Yeah so?"
"No! If you want perfectly moistened cereals you should pour them first,"
"But I like 'em crunchy," says Jeonghan emptying the box into their bowls.
Joshua whines and waits for some minutes to make his cereals soggy, then starts eating too.
A comfortable silence captures them. Cuckoo birds were singing melodiously outside in the garden, with light breeze and faint sunlight, morning freshness was lingering in the atmosphere. No hard feelings have remained in their hearts after last night. Finally, they've made peace with each other. Jeonghan knew that Joshua had forgiven him in his heart, still, he was waiting for a concrete answer from him.
"Where'd you come from?" Joshua asks abruptly after swallowing a bite.
"What do you mean?" says Jeonghan without looking away from his bowl.
"The vampires. . ." says Joshua, "How'd you become a vampire? Who were your family? Where do they live?"
Jeonghan glances at him and says vaguely with a mouthful of cereals, "We're sworn never to tell our history to anyone,"
"Not even me?" Joshua says protruding his lower lip in a pout and batting his eyelashes. He loves to collect knowledge about mythical creatures and fantasy worlds, and getting one in real life, is what he wanted.
Jeonghan chews slowly gaping at his adorable little face, large doe eyes, tempting him to spill everything about his ethnicity, but it's not enough to melt him. "No," he says straightly and digs back in his food.
Joshua groans, "At least please tell me how'd you get your powers?"
"It's, uh. . ." he agrees for this, "I don't know. There's a tale goes like. . . that vampires traded their souls for magic powers-"
"Deal with the devil?"
"Huh? What?"
"If you sell your soul to Satan to trade with powers, it means you'll go to hell when you die. . . he can do anything he wants with your body and soul, like torture you or make you do some evil work,"
