CHAPTER TWO - THE HOSPITAL

ARJUN'S POV

As I was been driven to the hospital,all I could keep praying for was that she was okay and nothing bad would happen to her and the baby, I was agitated ,confused , and I wasn't thinking straight at the moment all I wanted and wished for was to be in the hospital with her right now.
We finally got to the hospital, I didn't even allow the car to be parked properly, as I dashed out of the car and straight to the emergency room, as i got there , my mom,Aunty Monisha, and Uncle Khan where all there by the door, immediately my mom sighted me she ran to me " Arjun" was all she could say, I could see in her eyes that she could not take what she most have seen. I held my mum and sat her down, " Ma ,will Saanjh be okay" I could not hold it anymore as a tear rolled down my eye " Beta, Saanjh will fight,you know she's a strong girl" she held my face with both her hands and kissed my forehead,just then the doctor stepped out of the emergency room.
We quickly rushed to her, " Dr Zoya how's my wife" she looked at me and said " We need to perform a quick surgery Arjun,she has lost a lot of blood and........" she looked at me with the most sympathetic eyes " What's wrong Dr Zoya " she sighed " Arjun, Saanjh is in a critical condition as we speak,we need to either safe the mother or the babies" I looked down and then realized she just said babies ,and then I looked at her " BABIES?"she looked at me " Yes, Arjun,we just found out,both mother and babies are in a critical condition " My mum looked up and said " O Bhagwan" I held the doctors hand with pleading eyes and said " Save my Saanjh okay,She will be healthy again and then we can try for another child. Just save her Dr" she looked at me and understood " You need to sign some papers first okay......."

After about two hours, Dr Zoya walked out of the emergency room with Saanjh been rolled out alongside her, I quickly went to her side looking at how fragile my strong Saanjh had become, I caressed her face, she had so many bruises " Am sorry" was all I could whisper out " Sir we need to take her to her room " one of the nurses said. " Arjun" Dr Zoya called out to me " please be careful with her" I said to the nurses, as i approached Dr Zoya " How's her condition Dr" she looked at me skeptically I was waiting for the bad news when she said " Congratulations Arjun" I looked at her confused alongside my Mum and others " We were able to save both mother and babies" she smiled at me as though a big burden was off her chest " really" I replied her " Yes Arjun, I have never seen anything like this before, Saanjh fought for both her life and that of her babies, she didn't give up even for a bit, your babies are in good and stable health, but for Saanjh we still need to watch her closely, congratulations Arjun you are a father to two twin girls,you can see them soon after the check ups" I hugged my mom "Thank you Dr,thank you so much" and she walked away " Beta let's go see your daughters,them we can go see my daughter in-law okay" and I nod my head like a child, " Congratulation Sir" uncle Khan and aunt Monisha said to me, I nodded to them, I was a little relieved but I still needed to see Saanjh......

As we walked to where the babies were kept after the check ups, we all could see my daughters right from the windows, then a nurse walked to me and said I could come in and see my daughters my mom gave me a go ahead and I quickly walked in, I was given some hospital clothes to wear before going into the babies ward, as I walked towards my daughters and I was right in front of them, a tear slid down my cheeks as I picked both of them up in my arms, they were so little,I said to my self this was tears of joy, because I could have lost them both alongside their mother,but here they are, I kissed their cheeks and whispered in their ears " I love you my princesses ".
As I stepped out of the babies ward I was a little bit calm, my mum and others walked up to me. " You must be overwhelmed with joy Beta" my mum said to me, I nodded at her " let's go see my daughter-inlaw" then I was about walking alongside my mum to Saanjh's room when my phone rang, it was Prerna, I picked up,she most have been worried as well " Arjun, hey, how's Saanjh and the baby" she sounded so worried " They are fine Prerna, they just came out of surgery but Saanjh is still not awake, but my babies are fine" she sighed relieved " Wait a minute, did you say babies?" I replied " Yes Prerna, am a dad to two princesses" I sighed " Girls, wow congrats Arjun am so happy for you" she sounded so happy "Thanks Prerna, I need to go now,for I still need to see Saanjh, let's talk later okay" I was about to hang up when she said " I might come over to the hospital later okay, don't worry Saanjh will be fine,stay strong for her" and we both hanged up.
I started to walk towards the direction of Saanjh's room, when I bumped into a girl as she was about to fall I was able to catch her, she quickly stood back straight and zoomed off, I thought to my self how weird could that be, at that point a nurse ran towards my direction asking me if I saw someone running by and I said No, just few seconds after the nurse passed I stepped on something,when I checked what it was I stepped on, I found out it was actually a hair clip,as I was about to turn and call out to the nurse, it should be the girls clip.
At that very moment,my mom came running to me and said" Saanjh is awake " all I wanted at that moment was to look into the eyes of the woman I love so dearly,so I kept the clip in my pocket and dashed to the direction of Saanjh's room...........
