I laid awake in my bed, thinking.
Although Emily had told me to try imagining myself with a woman, my mind was on other things.
I couldn't stand the feel of socks on my feet.
Going without them for so long made me feel like the coarse fabric on my feet was restricting.
Like a prison.
I sighed.
It would get easier with time.
I didn't want to disappoint Emily, and I did want to make progress.
But still.
I just couldn't stand it.
I rolled over onto my stomach, hugging my pillow.
I grabbed my earbuds and phone from my nightstand, then started listening to music to take my mind off things.
Before I knew it, I had fallen asleep.
"Come on, Albeda, we're going to catch a cold!"
I laughed. "Come on, let's go!"
We danced in the rain, classical music blasting from my phone, of which I had stuck in the mailbox to avoid it from getting wet in the rain.
I grabbed her hands and started to dance.
Back and forth, we waltzed across the road, and soon, we had a rhythm going.
I pulled her in for a kiss just as the song ended.
I woke up with a start.
I usually never had dreams, so what was that?
I knew I had enjoyed that, but it left me with many more questions.
Who was that person I was dancing with in the rain?
And why did I feel love for them?
