Chapter 5

Azorai's POV

"Jamison..." The white haired girl in front of us spoke almost as if she was seeing things.

Almost at the same time Kazuyuki and I turned our heads to look at the figure to our right. It was a tall guy, with brownish orange hair and blue glasses sitting at the top of his head. He had his hair up in a high ponytail with blue clothes followed with a hydro vision that was attached to his belt. 

"Hello?.. Uhmm sorry but do I know you?" The boy known a Jamison came over and ignored the whole swords at throats situation. 

Aneko put her sword away to which Kazuyuki and I did shortly afterwards. She turned to face him with almost what looked like tears in her eyes. 

"Oh.. right I guess I've changed a lot in the past years. I'm Aneko remember?.." Aneko spoke hopefully. Kazuyuki looked at me confused, I shrugged my shoulders. I knew nothing about what was happening and neither did they. 

Jamison quickly moved and hugged Aneko as hard as he could from what it looked like. Kazuyuki started walking away, but I quickly grabbed their hand and told them to stay. Although this girl did just threaten us I wanted to see what was happening. 

The two hugged for a while before separating again and facing eachother. They shared a few words that Kazuyuki and I couldn't quite understand. Aneko turned around and looked at us, I waved awkwardly hoping she would let us go if we were kind about it. Her and the Jamison walked and faced us.

"Sorry for the delay you two. Please I will only ask nicely once. Follow me and Jamison to Mondstadt. When we are there we will sort out what will happen to you both." She smiled and spoke with no ill intent. Kazuyuki and I looked at eachother before nodded softly.

"We will come with you. But please! No restraints or anything like that!" I put my hands together praying that she would listen.

Jamison only laughed at my response. "Oh angel, Aneko never carries any restraints and neither do I. You'll be completely fine! Now please follow us to the city of Mondstadt!"

The two of us nodded before following the two others. We started in a large bamboo forest before we made our way to the 'Stone Gate.' We walked for what felt like for hours before we entered a small town known as 'Springvale.'

Aneko and Jamison kept talking amongst themselves so Kazuyuki and I spoke silently with eachother. We came up with a quick plan; once they were busy talking with someone we would make a run for it. I had read about Mondstadt when I was a child, and the Akasha Termial told me everything I know about it! Because of my knowledge of the area we agreed to run towards Dragonspine. Because of the easy access to Liyue and we could get to other nations using the Crux Fleet.

Not long after we got in Springvale the two started talking to someone almost forgetting we were there. I looked at Kazuyuki only to be met by their gaze. Perfect timing. Together we looked back at Aneko and Jamison, seeing they were still busy we made a run for it. Our footsteps were silent like a leaf landing on water. I grabbed Kazuyuki's hand and lifted them up a cliff. They helped me up shortly after. We kept running not taking any breaks before we met the snowy border of Dragonspine.

"Well! That wasn't too difficult was it?" I smiled and puffed my chest out proud that we had gotten away.

Kazuyuki was catching his breath as we started walking into the snow layered area. "I'm glad you know your way around Mondstadt. Might I ask how you know so much?"

"Oh! Yeah of course. I read about Mondstadt a lot when I was younger and the Akasha Termial told me everything I know about it!"

"Akasha Termial?" Kazuyuki looked at me as we kept walking through Dragonspine back to Liyue.

"I guess you aren't from Sumeru right sorry! The Akasha Termial is where everyone in Sumeru gets their information from. It sits on our ear and if we focus on what we want to know, then we will be given the information! As simple as that" I smiled happy to explain what goes on in my home nation.

"Ah I see. That's interesting. I've always wanted to visit Sumeru because I was hoping to find out some stuff that's happened in my past." They said softly but due to the padding of the snow it was easy to hear what they said.

I pulled out the device for the Termial and looked down at it. "I would use it to try and help but unfortunately it only works within Sumeru's borders."

Kazuyuki looked over at it and smile softly. It was cute seeing them smile. "I appreciate the offer, but it's okay Azorai I can do it on my own."

We talked for a while about our nation's and some stuff about our past before we reached the end of Dragonspine and the start of Liyue.  We had made it safely without freezing half way through. I smiled and laid in the sun.

"This is so much better than the freezing snow!" I shouted and laughed.

"You idiot... Come on we have to get going. I know where the Crux Fleet stays before they head off to a new nation." Kazuyuki said while putting their mask back up in what seemed like a flustered state. What would they be flustered about? Whatever it's not my concern! 

"Alright! Lead the way then!" I got up and dusted myself off before we took off towards the coast.

Soon enough we had gotten to the coast and there were large rocks coming out of the ocean. I had no idea what it was and quite honestly something of that size freaked me out. Kazuyuki clearly saw my concern and held back a laugh.

"Its a set of islands Azorai. There's nothing to be worried about. And no we aren't swimming there don't worry." They spoke as they moved a set of rocks to reveal a boat. Jesus how many secret things do they know here...

I helped them pull the boat out and set it up before we got in and started making our way to the islands. We got there quickly as a huge boat was seen behind a few of the rocks.

"That's the Crux Fleet right??" I asked quickly pointing out the giant boat.

Kazuyuki nodded and started walking over to it. "Yes it is. Now hurry we don't have much time before they leave again."

We both hurried and made our way to the boat. Once we got there Kazuyuki was met with smiles and hellos. I guess they've been here before... All the people seem nice but I don't want to cause us anymore trouble.

"Hey! Well if it isn't the one and only Kazuyuki!" A loud female voice was heard from the front of the boat.

"Hello Bediou." Kazuyuki said calmly and looked over at me nodding. Guess they trust her so it's okay.

"What are you doing here and with a girl no less! Finally got yourself a girlfriend huh?" Bediou spoke and laughed as the crew laughed with her.

Kazuyuki and I quickly blushed as my ears lit up like a Christmas Tree. "I'm afraid you have the wrong idea Captain. They are simply a fugitive like me. Only from Sumeru and not Inazuma."

"Oh! So your the one everyone is talking about! Well I'm Bediou and welcome aboard uhmm.." She hesitated not knowing my name.

"Azorai is my name! And thank you Bediou we've been through way too much for only a few days." I smiled and relaxed knowing we were safe here.

"No worries! If you two are looking to travel with us we are headed to Inazuma next! We'll be leaving by dawn tomorrow. So feel free to stick around until then" She smiled before leaving and talking with the rest of the crew.

"Inazuma... are you sure Kazuyuki?? I know that you are from there would it be okay?" I asked wanting to make sure they were okay with it. I'm getting too attached again.. I can't have a repeat of what happened years ago.

"Its okay. There's someone I've been needing to see since I left." They spoke calmly but their words were was also laced with worry.

"Someone you've been wanting to see?" I asked wanting to know more about this person.

"She is like a sister to me. But get comfy because we aren't leaving here until we get to Inazuma." Kazuyuki said before they made their way to the back of the ship.

After they walked away I made my way to the front and looked out at the ocean in front of me. There was a large pink glow coming from the islands of Inazuma in the distance.

"Inazuma here we come."
