Azorai's POV
_______________________________
God it feels like I've been walking forever... I knew that the rain forest was large, but I didn't know that they meant it was thing big. Its been a few hours since I left the city and I've already heard that guards are looking for me. I had to hide in a few villages and pick pocket a few people to get by, and have enough to survive in Liyue for the time being. It isn't too bad out here alone honestly, about an hour ago I started to see the mountains of whats known as the Chasm. I miss you guys already I hope I can be home soon enough to see you both. Be sure to have lots of fun and stay out of trouble!
"Sigh... Finally that's done." I put down my pen and notebook that I brought along with me to log my journey around the world for my family to read once I return home.
I had arrived just outside of Liyue Harbor a few hours ago and wow the stories hold nothing to the real thing. It was gorgeous! The smell of street food and the bustling streets, it was everything I ever dreamed it was. Unfortunately while walking through the Chasm I ran into a group of treasure hoarders and I had lost my mora pouch. So with 0 mora and not knowing my way around I decided to just explore the harbor for now and enjoy it.
A few minutes after exploring the harbor I noticed a person walking around with light blue hair and what seemed to be inazuman attire walking around the wharf. Soon as I saw them I knew they were the perfect target to steal a few mora from. I walked up from behind him and bumped into him on accident in the busy crowd, and quickly snatched the mora pouch from his pocket. After doing so I quickly slipped back into the crowd knowing that he wouldn't follow the only person who could would have some inhuman abilities.
"Perfect. Who knew that someone like that would carry around this much money." I whispers quietly to myself feeling the weight of the pouch, as I began to walk to the northern side of the harbor away from where the blue haired individual was.
I had started walking over to the main square of the harbor which didn't seem to be as busy. Due to the heat I took off the scarf that was around my mouth and let it hang over my shoulders and put my hair into a higher ponytail to keep it out of the way. As I made my way over to a restaurant to get something to eat I got thousands of weird looks as if people from Liyue had never seen someone from Sumeru before; however it didn't bother me knowing they wouldn't do anything about it with all the guards around the place.
I reached the restaurant soon after and was soon surrounded by the sweet smell of the Liyue specialty food. The was a girl with dark blue hair known as Xiangling running the place, she seemed very lively and loved her job. I decided that I was only going to look at the menu before wandering off again, I could go a few more hours without food.
"I heard something bad happened in Sumeru.."
"What your telling me you haven't heard about it."
"Some person who worked for the god ended up doing something extremely awful according to her.."
Walking through the busy streets I couldn't help but listen in to some of the conversations going on. They all had to do with Sumeru and what I did, guess word travels just as fast as the wind as my elder sister Liona would say. She would also say to be myself, the happy and loud person that I normally am however, I can't with the current situation and laying low for now. Soon enough I'll find some people that I click with and have a new family for the time being.
While wandering through the streets and roads of Liyue Harbor I kept noticing these missing person posters which had a blonde girl on them, I swear I had seen her before but I wasn't sure where or when. Maybe I was simply seeing things if I had known her. Soon enough after walking around enough I sat down on a bench that was beside the road. I took out my deck of cards to play around with until the sun had started going down which it should soon if I am correct.
---- A few hours later ----After the sun went down I began heading to the restaurant that I was at earlier to buy some dinner for the road. I was on my way there when I saw the same blue haired person that I had stolen from before. They looked like they were looking around for something before we locked eyes, and I swear they had a fire in their eyes. We kept eye contact for a few seconds before they started walking towards me.
"Shit..." I spoke out loud on accident before turning the other way and walking away.
The person was quickly gaining on me before I started running. Once I started running they followed shortly afterwards. I put my scarf back over my mouth before moving into the crowd hoping they wouldn't find me.
"Excuse me! sorry!" I told people as I ran through them as I lost sight of the stranger chasing me.
I turned a corner and hid in a dark alley way and held my breath praying to Lord Kusanali that they had left. I looked out from the corner into the crowd and didn't see them. I sighed and smiled knowing I had lost them. Little did I know that my prayers were a few seconds too late as a felt a small blade to my neck from behind. They had been waiting for me there, like a lamb to the slaughter.
"I believe you have what belongs to me thief."
