Chapter 2: Shopping Out

The next morning, Kronii feels her desk vibrating with a loud ringing of an alarm next to her head. She groans as her blue eyes open to a sunrise out the window. Kronii groggily gets up from her desk as she felt a huge amount of pain in her neck, "When did I pass out on my desk?" Kronii wipes the drool off her mouth while turning off her phone alarm. She then stretches out her back which made a huge crackling sound, she immediately regrets doing that. Kronii rubs her neck from the pain and turns to her bed where she remembers her roommate sleeping.

She is still there snoring softly and cutely into Kronii's pillow. The girl checks her phone for the time and date, "It's already August. Man, this week went by fast." She gets up from her desk to wake up the other girl. Kronii hovered over Mumei as she taps her shoulder. Kronii whispers for her to wake up. The only response was a groan as she dugs deep into the pillow refusing to wake up. Kronii lets out a sigh and tries once more, "Oh Mumei~ It's time to wake up and go to your bed." She bends near to the bed as she pokes her face. She studies her features up close and notices her eyelashes are long and pretty.

Suddenly, Mumei's eyes started to flutter open. Kronii stood in fear as she stares into her amber eyes. Mumei seemed to be still half asleep. The next thing she knew, she felt the girl's arm wrapped around her neck, pulling her close. "You're so warm, Mr. Hootie." Kronii blushes bright red as she was pulled near to Mumei's face. She felt her snuggling closer to her. Kronii held her breath as her she could feel Mumei's slow breathing down her neck. She felt shivers down her spine as she was terrified to let a single air out.

How is she going to get out of this? Kronii thought that maybe she could move away, but her grip held tightly around her and wouldn't budge. She was stuck in this position in Mumei's arms.

Kronii was still, not moving a single muscle. She stares at the girl sleeping soundly, not knowing the position they are in. Kronii eventually felt her back starting to crack and hurt in a huge amount of pain due to sleeping at her desk the entire night. She has no choice but to attempt to wake the girl up once more before her back starts to break like a twig, "M-Mumei? You got to wake up, please." Kronii shakes the girl a bit. Her plan seemed to have worked as Mumei's eyes slowly open back up again, making a small soft sound as she woke up, "Huh..."

Mumei shifted in place, now face to face as their eyes met with each other. She takes a moment before calling out the other girl's name, "Kronii?" Mumei looks confused to see the other so close to her, "Good morning. Would you mind letting me go?" Kronii awkwardly chuckles as she taps on her arm that was around her neck. Mumei sheepishly stares at her and then sees the position they are in. Mumei took a few moments before realizing it and immediately let go of her grip, "OH! I'm so sorry!" Kronii rubs her neck as she feels a long relief and shakes her head, "It's fine, Mumei. Don't worry about it."

She gets up as she can finally stretch out her back. Mumei sat up from the bed and she stares up at the tall girl confused, "How did that even happen?" Kronii chuckles awkwardly as she tries to explain, "I tried waking you up. You were sleep talking then suddenly pulled me into your arms out of nowhere." Kronii watches the girl cover her face with her hands, "That's embarrassing. I'm so sorry." Kronii shakes her head despite knowing that the girl couldn't see her since she was covering her face. "It's alright! It was an accident." Mumei uncovers her face, "Y-yeah. Thank you, Kronii" The tall girl only nods her head as things finally cleared up.

"I'll be heading out with my friends today, so I'll be taking a shower first." Kronii stares at the brunette nodding her head then grabs went to grab a towel, pacing fast into their bathroom.

Kronii sighs in relief as she hid behind the door, her ears visibly tinted red from the embarrassment. She shouldn't have woken up Mumei if she knew that was to happen. Kronii lets out a long sigh, "Having time traveling powers sounds nice to have right now." She thought to herself in embarrassment but it was no use in trying to drag it on.
