Kyson's pov:

I reviewed the papers with my father, and Malik's dad Christian looked them over with us.

They were requests we would be able to fill. I just had to decide the order we would handle them.

As I left the office after being trapped by a few others, stuck assigning and controlling our guards and working men, giving them multiple tasks around the town.

I entered the kitchen, grabbing a water bottle as Malik scribbled notes on a notebook.

"Whatcha working on?" I say, walking around and resting my elbows on the counter beside him.

"Oh, just some old spells my mom showed me." He gave me a soft smile before twisting his body to face me.

He grabbed my waist, pulling me closer to him, his legs on either side of me.
My face began to blush as I pushed away.

"Oh my bad, you got you're boyfriend now, huh?" He smirked playfully before picking up his pen again.

"Uh about that...you can't uhm...tell anyone...Achilles claims he'll murder me...and he's not my boyfriend..." I whispered nervously, holding back my nervous stutter.

"And you think you're safe with that man?" He raises an eyebrow.

"I-well...erm, just promise me?"
I mumbled, nervously watching the ground.

"You know I have you're back, Kyson. I just want you to be safe...and don't forget how strong us warlocks can be. We can ruin people like that." He snapped giving me a soft smile.

"I know I know...I wanna change him. You don't understand there's this...pull! It's like nothing I've ever felt before." I beamed; my energy now shifting.

I watched him smile as his eyes looked into mine as he observed me carefully as I spoke.

"That sounds like every cliché romance books,
Ky ky." He rolled his eyes playfully as I groaned.

"No like it's ridiculous strong! Like something I can't avoid, something I've never felt before. You don't understand, Malik..." I mumbled the last part.

"Is this you're way of telling me I was never good enough?" He chuckled as I began to panic.

"No! Of course not! You know how much I love you. We never would have worked...you know warlocks can only be with witches...or well bother warlocks" I spoke softly before grabbed a bottle of water.

"Anyway, I got some more paper work to finish. So I'll talk to you later." I cupped his cheeks, kissing his forehead before heading upstairs.

That was another thing, Malik was always...how do I put this gently...the baby?

He always wanted to be cared for...he was never in charge or dominant.

Now yes, the king is supposed to be dominant, they are supposed to have a submissive princess that bows down for them. That's the kings roll, to be strong and in charge.

I hated it...I wanted to be help. I wanted to receive orders, I didn't want to be in charge. With Malik...I had no options.

With Achilles...he's strong and dominant...he's not afraid to take charge...to put me in my place.

I sighed, I needed to make things right. I knocked on his door.

There was no answer.

I knocked louder. "Achilles?" I cracked the door open, hoping to see him sleeping on the bed.

Yet his room was empty...
Searching the room, glancing in the open bathroom.

What I saw made my stomach drop.
I completely froze, my heart beat began to speed up as panic filled my mind...

Panic and fear.

The whole bathroom counter was covered in blood and glass. I choose my steps carefully as the ground was covered in glass.

But where the hell was Achilles?.
Shit. Shit. Shit.

Glancing as the curtains fluttered softly in the window, exposing the opened window.

He did not jump...

All his stuff was still here.
I quickly rushed outside, there were faint foot prints I followed into the woods.

But eventually they stopped.

"Achilles!" I shouted. It wasn't safe...our kingdom was home to many unwanted creatures.
Vampires, werewolves, if you run into a mad or uncontrolled warlock...even worse if they work with the trolls...

Creatures lurking in the shadows, the caves or completely in the open. I looked up at the trees shuddering. Thankfully I didn't see anything.

I caught sight of a thin blue sweatshirt Achilles was wearing near a rock, that wasn't far from a crystal water source.

Crystal water ponds weren't bigger than a normal pond but smaller than lake. They were truthful beautiful and quite peaceful.

Achilles back was turned away from me as he floated in the center of it.
His toned back completely exposed as his clothes were thrown onto the ground messily.

"You don't even flinch? What if I was a warlock?!" I spit out hardly.

"Oh I heard you. You kept screaming my goddamn name, for fucksake." He mumbled.

"Oh..." I whispered.

"Are you...naked?" He faced me with a smirk.

"Why don't you join me, princey?"

I put my hands on my hips. "Oh so we're back to flirting?" I spoke with raised eyebrows giving him an uninterested look.

Yet everything in me, was screaming to accept that he wants to be around me now, and enjoy it while it last.

"Oh hush, and get in here." He smirked playfully.

"Hm...make me." I retorted playfully with a smile.
He swam up to the edge.

"Kyson. Come." His voice grew dark as the husky tone ordered me into the water. My throat grew dry as I forced myself to swallow. His beautiful brown eyes stared into my soul, practically yanking me into the water, forcing me to obey his every command.

I nodded slowly and tugged my shirt over my body. A sinister smirk fell on his face.

"Look at the little Prince taking orders from the bad guy." I sat on the edge with my boxers still on.

"I-I'm not uhm-g-good at swimming." I whispered shyly with a bright blush across my cheeks as I forced my words out. As his hands softly fell onto my waist.

"I got you." He spoke in his deep tone as he slid me into the cold water.

I shivered adjusting to the water, my legs wrapped around his waist, as he was able to touch the bottom being taller than me.

"You gonna explain what happened in the room?" I asked.

He rolled his eyes with a soft scoff before he dunked me under the water without saying a word.
