That's what they were doing now, finding Dustin.
El sat in the isle with a blindfold on, using her powers to find Dustin. Max had cleaned y/n's wound and it was now bandaged up, but she was still in a lot of pain and could barely walk. She sat on the edge of the fridge isle between Mike and Will.

While they were waiting, Lucas opened a can of Coca Cola.

"Quiet." Max hissed, quietly.

"Oh, sorry." Lucas whispered and started slurping it, loudly.

"How do you even drink that?" Mike asked, in disgust.

"Because it's delicious." Lucas answered.

"What?" Mike and Max questioned at the same time.

"It's like Carpenters The Thing." Lucas said "The original is a classic, no question about it. But the remake—" He started slurping the drink loudly again. Everyone gave him a weird look. "Sweeter, bolder, better."

"You're insane." Mike said, shaking his head.

"So, you prefer the original Thing." Lucas asked.

"What? No, I'm not talking about The Thing I'm talking about the New Coke." Mike said.

"It's the same concept, dude." Lucas sighed.

"Uh, actually it's not the same concept." Mike argued.

"It's the same concept."

"No, it's not."

"Yes it is!"

"Hey!" El snapped, ripping her blindfold off and glaring at the two boys.

"Sorry." They both apologised quickly.

"Did you find him?" Y/n asked El, hopefully.

"The movies?" Lucas exclaimed once El said where Dustin was and when they were leaving. Lucas was also pushing a massive trolley full of fire works because "They could come in handy."

He and Max, and El were walking ahead of y/n who was still getting help walking from Will and Mike.

"Dustin's so freaked out about the gate, he decided to go watch a movie?" Lucas continued. "Yeah, makes total sense."

"You're sure he said gate not great?" Max asked Mike.

"Yeah like this movie I'm watching is great." Will said as an example.

"He said code red." Y/n chimed in.

"It sounded like gate." Mike added. "Which would explain why the Mind Flayer is still alive."

"Yeah, we just have to shut it again." Nancy said.

"Then the monster dies." Mike added.

"But if not, we always have Lucas' fireworks." Max said, sarcastically as she helped him out the door with the trolley.

"Keep mocking my plan, Max. Keep mocking it." Lucas said. "I wanna hear you say it again, because you keep doubting me. You keep doubting me!"

"Ridiculous." Max scoffed, rolling her eyes.

"Will?" Lucas turned back to . "We're gonna prove them wrong, right?"

"Don't drag me into this." Will said as he and Mike helped y/n into the car. They were going to the mall anyway to see Dustin even though El said he was at the movies but Dustin said "Gate." And "Code red." So something had to be wrong.
