4-I Like You Too

Jada's P.O.V

"This all happened between a decision between career and family, right?" I asked and they all nodded.

"You know my dad still plays music, just not in the band. He's a guitar teacher at my school." I noted. Dad nodded smiling.

"I'm sorry bro, we missed you" uncle Riker smiled and hugged dad. Everyone came into a group hug and I smiled. "We may not be a band, but we're still family" uncle Ryland noted and I agreed.

Cody's phone rang. He picked it up and rolled his eyes. I'm guessing it's Carly. He went into a room and Erica held my hand to follow him quietly.

"Carly stop calling me. I'm done with you"

He yelled into the phone.

"Well that 'butt' is my crush who I happen to fall in love with"

My heart beated fast. The first time that someone fell in love with me. My body started getting hot.

He frowned.

"bye"

Erica and I looked at each other and ran out. We quickly ran into the couch as he walked in. His eyebrows raised and we laughed so hard.

"I need to use the bathroom" Erica smirked and walked away. I stared at her as she walked. Why leave me here?!

"Were you spying on me?" He evilly smirked and walked closer.

"IT WAS ERICA'S IDE-"

I was cut off by him tickling my neck with his kisses. I laughed hard, kicking my feet in the air as I felt his smile on my neck. He continues to attack me for a long time then stops. My abdominals hurt like crazy.

He then sat by me as I snuggled up by him. It's funny how we act like a couple but we're not.

I feel his hands gently stroking my hair. My eyes became heavy as I let out a sigh, more like a very light moan. I looked out the window and thank goodness the adults are outside. Dad would've killed Cody for doing this to me.

Cody placed my head on his lap as he continues to play with my hair. I fell asleep with the last words coming from Erica.

"Aww...Jady is confirmed" She sang.

I woke up and my head was still on Cody's lap but feeling someone else playing with my foot. I glanced over and I screamed, seeing Carly smirking with a pocket knife, placing it under my toes.

I screamed lifting my head up seeing Erica playing with my toes.

"Are you okay?" Cody asked laying my head down softly onto his lap again. I nodded looking into his forest green eyes. He leaned in kissing my lips softly. He rubbed his nose against mine and we both smiled.

I looked at Erica who is still playing with my toes. "I'm sorry you're third wheeling" I pouted.

"I don't mind at all" she smiled. "I actually have someone who has a crush on me."

"Who?" Cody asked.

She slightly chuckled looking down "Lets just say your uncle Rocky has a hot son who goes to our school. We talked and maybe...flirted."

"Shut up!" I giggled but awed at the same time.

"He told me about his dad being in R5 who plays lead guitar. I talked to your uncle and asked him."

"Wait, is his name Jacob Lynch? We play football together" Cody noted.

She smiled and nodded. I looked back at Cody, playing with his hair. "Can I talk to Cody, alone?" I asked Erica.

"Of course!" She winked and walked out of the room. I stood up sitting on my own.

"Cody, what is going on between us?" I asked "are we a couple or-"

"Not yet" he cut me off. He scoot in closer holding my hands and rubbing them with his thumbs.

"Jada Lynch, ever since your brother introduced me to you, I felt like we could get along but after being stupid judging you by your love in learning, I realized that you also have the best personality any boy will want to have. Will you be my girlfriend?" He flashed his bright smile I love so much.

"Yes!" I answered jumping into a hug.

He hugged me tightly, resting his head on my shoulder. I smiled but realized something. I pulled back looking down.

"What about you?" I asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Cody, you're one of the school's jocks. If they know that we are together, they can crush you. I've been in that school for a while and I know them" I intertwine our fingers, rubbing my thumb on one of his nails.

He picked up my hands and kissed them "I don't care if they tease me or kick me off the football team. I want you."

I smiled, kissing his soft cheek.

*The next day*

We got off Tyler's car and we walked to school. Cody and I held hands while Tyler and Erica stand on each side of us. Tyler nudged me and I gave him a 'what?' look.

"That's what you get for dating my best friend" he smirked and we all laughed.

"Hey, you're best friend is dating my best friend so clearly we are on the same page" Erica noted smiling at Tyler and we chuckled. We opened the door and everyone everywhere started whispering but I didn't care, I'm used to it.

My driver's ed teacher came up to me. "Hello Miss Lynch. Just a reminder that your driver's test is this Friday. Don't forget it" she smiled and walked away as I nodded. Of course, Carly and her "squad" came to us.

"Aww Cody, are you helping this girl to her class. I'm sorry but she's too geeky enough to find every classroom in this building" She smirked.

"I don't care about you anymore so just leave me alone" he gritted his teeth as we walked past her.

"Did Cody Lancaster become soft!" She shouted and everyone stared at us. I closed my eyes and hugged him. He doesn't deserve this pressure.

"Just ignore them" I advised but turned around.

"Carly is just jealous that I have her ex boyfriend" I shot back.

"Why would I be jealous of you. You're just a geek." She smiled walking up to me.

"A geek with your boyfriend" I crossed my arms.

"Oh sweetie, he just wanna make me jealous when I'm really not. Your just a waste of time."

"I don't give a damn thing about what you say Carly. Either leave my life or go through the tough way." I smiled and kissed my boyfriend's soft lips. I look back at her and she clenched her fists.

The bell rang and I held Cody's hands as we walked to Science together. Everyone stopped teasing me, even Tyler's girlfriend, Jane. She apologized to me and promised that she won't tease me again.

My life is getting better every step of the way!
