11-No Regrets

Jada's P.O.V

We stopped in front of the hospital and we ran inside the building. Cody ran to the front desk lady and asked if Heather has checked in. Before she answered, we heard a familiar voice.

"Cody, the baby is killed!" Heather said excitedly and ran up to him and hugged him. Cody's face paled and his eyes got watery. He pushed her hard that made her fell and ran to the bathroom. I immediately ran to the men's bathroom and stood by the doorway calling his name. I got confused looks on men but I simply ignored them. Cody finally came out wiping a tear from his eye and I went to go hug him.

"I'm so sorry Cody" I simply said and we stood silent for a few minutes. I ket go and we walked back to Heather and she ran up to Cody behind her and kissed him aggressively. "Now we don't have to worry about anything" she smirked and dragged Cody outside and he lets her.

My heart just shattered again. He still likes her?! I fell onto my knees and started sobbing into my hands. I knew that he didn't want me back, or even like me.

Erica ran to me and she hugged me tightly; this is the only thing I need right now. "I wanna go" I sobbed and she immediately stood me up and we walked outside to her car.

She turned the key to start the engine and she started to drive. The ride was silent, beside my sniffling.

The car stopped and I looked up and we were at the park. We got out and Erica came by my side and wrapped her arm around me and we both walked onto a bench.

We sat down and I rested my head on her shoulder while she rested her head on mine. "I wish things could go back to the way it used to be. No boys, no drama, just studying and getting good grades" I finally spoke since the car ride. I can feel her nod and my eyes were on a little young girl chasing her brothers and it reminded me if my brothers.

I pulled out my phone and texted Tyler that I was okay and that I was with Erica at the park. I put my phone away but my phone rang but I knew that it was just Tyler approving my text.

I keep getting texts but I simply ignored them. Erica got my phone and looked over the texts and her eyes widened.

"Uhh Jada, these texts weren't from Tyler" she showed me the texts from an unknown phone number and my eyes widened scrolling through the pictures they sent me. "Heather!" I growled and grabbed my purse and started heading towards Erica's car.

"Hop in, we have to Cody's place" I demanded. She didn't complained or asked and she started speeding towards Cody's house. Once we pulled up, I grabbed a baseball bat at the front of their lawn and I opened their unlocked door to find Cody on top of Heather making out.

They got startled and Heather dropped her phone. I immediately grabbed her phone and Cody's phone and I ran out of their house running towards the park which was 2 minutes from his house in car distance. I can hear someone running after me but I didn't want to look back. A car caught up to me and I looked and thank god, it was Erica.

"Get to the park!" I yelled and she drove all the way to the park and I kept running. After 5 minutes, I made it to the park and I tossed Erica a phone. It was glittery and pink so it must be Heather's.

"Delete my phone number from her contacts and all of the texts that she sent to me fast!" I said and I went on Cody's phone to delete my phone number and texts. I finished deleting and I looked up and see Cody 8 feet away from me running and I dropped his phone. "Run!" I yelled and we both started running.

I can hear his panting getting closer and I tried to speed up but then I ended up on the ground with a lot of weight on top of me.

"What did you do to my phone!?" Cody yelled at my face. "I deleted my number! I can't believe you gave my number to that slut to send all of those nasty pictures of you two! You have no freakin' idea how much that hurts!" I yelled back and slapped him. He held his face and I can see the guilt that appeared on his face.

I tried pushing him off but pushed me down some more and I groaned. "I never gave her your number! She must've gone through my phone!" He replied loudly. Everyone's attention was on us and it bothered me so much.

He got me there at his last statement but a question popped in mind.

"Why are you still with Heather after she killed your baby? I could tell that you were hurt when she told you" I questioned and he calmed a little.

"I didn't know where to go" he answered and I placed my hand on his thigh.

"Cody, if you ever need anything, just know that I'll be here for you" I replied almost to a whisper and he looked into my eyes.

He stared at me for a long time before-

Slap!

He slapped me across the face hard. My mouth dropped as I placed my hand on where he slapped me.

"Oh honey, you actually thought that I liked you" he chuckled and immediately got close to my ear

"And that 4.0 GPA means nothing about how smart you are, with people" he whispered into my ear.

He got off me and walked off, leaving me there speechless. How did he change in one second!

"Jada, oh my god are you alright?!" I heard Erica asked before seeing her face above me. I nodded trying to hold back tears but it didn't work.

"Where were you when I was getting attacked?" I asked and sobbed.

"I thought you were behind me. God, I am so stupid not realizing that you weren't behind me. When I got back, I saw him slap you and say something to you before he left and I immediately ran to you" she told and she put her hands on her face.

"Erica, it's okay. I was dumb enough to believe what he said. I'm the one who put you through this" I replied.

"Jada, I don't care. You're my best friend and I want to make you happy, no matter how big of a risk"
