The news spread like wildfire throughout Area 11 as the Japanese Liberation Front, led by Josui Kusakabe, went rogue with his loyalists to carry out the plan on their own by seizing Lake Kawaguchi, which holds the summit of the Sakuradite Production. They also took the hostages in order to prevent British military forces from entering the area and killing the hostages.

This attracts the attention of the United Multidimensional Armed Coalition (UMAC) and the United Dimensional Alliance, who are vehemently opposed to the JLF for holding civilians hostage, despite the fact that they are Britannians. Given the hostage situation, the UMAC HIGHCOM received approval from the UDA council to conduct a counter-terrorism mission. They intend to rescue the hostages while eliminating the JLF, who are considered terrorists by the UDA. They decided to use special operatives to complete this mission.

Briefing room, UADCF Hokkaido base

The special ops made up of different nations included in this mission. These special ops are 3 Jager Commandos, 2 UNSC Spartans, 1 GDI Commando, 1 Elite Spec-Op, and 1 Terran Elite Spectre are present in the room. Captain Sullivan was there to brief them for a special op mission.

Sullivan: Alright, listen up 'cause we don't have time before the JLF decide to kill the hostages so I want everyone's ears open.

The screen opens showing the image of Lake Kawaguchi now being controlled by the JLF.

Sullivan: As you can see here, the Japanese Liberation Front or JLF have controlled Lake Kawaguchi and they held hostages to prevent Britannian forces from entering that place. They tried to infiltrate that place from the sky and sea, but they failed. So we will do it tonight.

GDI Commando: Tonight? Why not now? We can try to free those people.

Terran Elite Spectre: Why would we help those people anyway? Should they deserve to die for what they did? They are our enemy.

UGSE Jager Commando 1: You listen here, Spectre. Britannia is our enemy, but those civilians don't take arms against us. In fact, they're civilians, for Christ sake! We don't kill civilians, we kill soldiers and combatants.

Terran Elite Spectre: Fine. But don't crawl back to me when I told you so.

UGSE Jager Commando 1: Why you son of a-

Elite Spec-Op: Enough!

An Elite SpecOp stands between them to stop the fight from happening.

Elite Spec-Op: Now it is not the time to fight among each other. This human is right, we engage enemy soldiers who are fighting us, not the civilians.

Sullivan: He's right. We don't engage the civilians. I want everyone to understand that.

UNSC Female Spartan: Understood, sir.

Sullivan: Good. Now I'm choosing you to be a part of this special mission because your background records show you're the best of the best. Anyway, as I previously stated, the operation will begin tonight, so I want everyone to be ready as soon as the mission begins. Is that correct?

UGSE Jager Commando 2: Roger that, sir. We will be ready to kick ass those terrorists tonight.

Sullivan: Then dismissed.

G1-Base mobile base, Outside the Lake Kawaguchi

Cornelia is listening to her subordinate briefing about numerous attempts to try to infiltrate Lake Kawaguchi under control of the Japanese Liberation Front.

Cornelia's subordinate: All bridges connecting to the hotel with the exception of the main one have been destroyed. Our attempted approaches from the air and water have been unsuccessful. There's only one route left that will allow us to develop a possible hostage rescue plan. The main utilities tunnel runs directly beneath the Convention Center Hotel. Basically, we would go in through this route, destroy the foundation block, and submerge the hotel. Since the tunnel was also built to handle supply deliveries, it should be able to accommodate Sutherlands. Even if the enemy has taken precautions it should be no problem.
