Do I Wanna Know?
-----
The dim, gloomy sky bellowed it's last screech of thunder, indicating the end of the irritating rain. The children hurried out of the orphanage once the rainstorm ended, continuing the game of 'tag' they were playing before the storm occurred.
Ghost observed how enthusiastic the kids were as he and his black female friend, Cora, strode alongside him. The pair was heading towards a particular direction, probably intentionally using the town's miserable and soggy streets as a shortcut.
Their footsteps continued, straight to the end of the town where a slightly visible cobblestone were implanted on the dirt, leading to a certain location.
Cora halted, reading the wooden signboard next to the pathway.
"Paix Manoir. Bienvenue!"
The board was slightly tilted down and some parts were noticeably covered in red marks, as if the people had thrown tomatoes or other vegetables towards the sign in envy or hatred. Cora raised an eyebrow in curiosity before fixing her pantsuit and trailing behind Ghost who was dressed differently.
Compared to Cora's formal attire, Ghost wore a dirty brown Long Wrap Coat with a plain black shirt underneath. His jeans also appeared to be torn apart which sort of suited with his worn out boots.
Cora took a glimpse of her unbothered friend while they proceeded to walk with the guide of the moderately visible cobblestone pathway. She sighed, scanning how unprofessional his clothing were.
From the looks of it, even though they previously walked while the weather was desperately rainy, their clothes weren't wet at all. It was as if they weren't affected by the water and a particular object was protecting them from being hit by the storm. How weird.
"Be ready," Ghost said. Their surroundings that was once filled with the miserable sky and absolutely nothing but the ordinary soggy grass changed.
Slowly, a large mansion came to their view. The massive building was coated with a dark maroon paint with beautiful etches on the walls. There were two identical large white pillars holding the extended front roof of the mansion, and the building's sides had lively medium sized green bushes.
The pair stopped behind a large tree upon hearing a vehicle halting in front of the mansion.
Cora watched in amusement as a group of small family came out of the car merrily. The father was holding his son that was jumping around excitedly, causing him to laugh.
The mother, on the other hand, was holding a tiny lil baby. A girl.
She had flawless skin with an enchanting pair of orbs and there were already slight strands of hair appearing atop her round head. Her hands went to play with her mom's silky hair.
Ghost waited for them to enter the mansion,"The circus will take place in that forest behind the mansion," he pointed, describing his idea to Cora.
"But, there's a whole peaceful family here and it might endanger them... Right?" she asked, concerned.
He nodded in response.
"If I were to predict the future, they'll probably move out and abandon the mansion or just keep staying in there."
"What if their kid gets distracted and gets into the woods? Alone?" Cora asked again.
"That's not a problem. Every circufied forest will be seen as a dangerous one, so they'll most hopefully avoid it."
"Besides, there are many other harmful species in all forests. It wouldn't be our fault if their child gets hurt," he continued coldly, as if used to it.
