I do not want to go in there. It is nothing but pain and misery in there. I start to step back but get stopped by a hand on my back. I turn and see it is Daniel.
"Moved across the road and was told you went for a 'walk' today" I gulp and he chuckles "What are you doing here? You seem scared so I imagine you are not here for a joy visit"
"My home had love and happiness" I sigh and look at the now empty home "But then they got busier and now it is empty and loveless"
"They still love you but sometimes people who want kids realize they were not meant to have kids" he points toward the two photos in my hands "Those are four different guys"
"You found the secret" I sigh again and hand them to him "Foster kid"
"Foster huh?" I nod and he smiles "I think I have an idea"
-Time skip-Brittany pov-
"Daniel and Rico best tell me where that damn girl is soon!" I cringe as Maribel slams the phone down again "I am going to lose my mind! Rico is so..he is just so!"
"So what?" We all look to see Rico and Daniel with Rachel "Hi sis! How are you doing now that you can dick Judy?"
"We had not told Quinn the news yet" Rico's eyes go wide while Daniel slaps his arm "Anything else you want to yell out?"
"Quinn is Santanas sister and Rachel is getting adopted!" We all look at Rachel confused "Floor is yours chica"
"Thank you" Rachel takes a deep breath before showing us two photos "The white and black man in this one were my birth parents..they died in a crash so I was an orphan.....Hiram and Leroy took me in but I think it was just for the money, they loved me, and then they fell out of love"
"So is Shelby actually your mom?" She nods her head and now I am confused "How?"
"My black dad and her did the..deed" Rachel cringes but goes on "I was born and with them for years but just before middle school started we crashed"
"The highway truck incident?" She nods and Daniel frowns "I was on staff for them..Joe and Bruce Hartford?"
"That was them" Rachel gives a sad smile "I was Rachel Barbara Hartford of Muncie, Indiana"
"Indiana?" Rachel nods "Why did...you crashed while moving"
Rachel nods her head slightly "Bruce has a new job as a lawyer her and Joe was going to be a cook" Tears fall down Rachel's face "I would give anything to have them back"
"The box!" We all look at Maribel confused "The box you got from them!"
Daniels eyes bug out and they take off. We are left confused until they come back. Daniel hands bed a box that as new tears falling. She opens it and it is a music box.
-Music box with Joe and Bruce singing-
I see trees of green
Red roses too
I see them bloom

"I had forgotten how they sounded" Rachel sniffles and closes the box "Thank you"
"This was supposed to be given to you as well" Daniel hands her a paper "Which is a good thing we contacted who we did"
"Rachel?" We all look at the door as two people come in "I..I heard you needed someone"
"I WILL MURK YOU!" We all block Santana from killing Shelby "YOU FUCKING WORTHLESS BITCH! I SHOULD SKIN YOU ALIVE!"
"I know I messed up and I want to fix it!" Shelby looks at Rachel who looks frozen "I never left cause I could not! I tried to go to your house during the summer but you have been gone and Rico said you were at a camp..I-I have called you so many times!"
"I blocked you like you blocked me from your life" I look at Rachel with a dropped jaw as she looks at the paper "How long...how long have you know what was on this papers and not done anything?"
"Rachel she never knew" We all look at Daniel confused "Your dads told me to keep it till you found her or I did"
"Well mom you have been the worst mother ever" Rachel hands Shelby the paper "Cause you have kept me unloved and unhoused for four years now"
"Oh god" Tears start falling down Shelby's face and Rico takes Beth "Oh god no! NO!"
"S-sh-Shelby?" We all did not expect that reaction "They have been gone for four years"
"No! They..this is a joke!" Shelby's shakes her head and Rachel slowly holds her "God please let this be a joke"
I look at Santana and she holds her hands up. We let her go and she stays still. We all look at the crying duo knowing this just got worse. That was not how we expected today to go.
My question is now how will tomorrow and the future go?
