"So this is what we will do" I show everyone the picture and push play on the radio "I want this to play as well!"

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

It's glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes aglow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Toys in every store
But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be
On your own front door.
A pair of hopalong boots and a pistol that shoots
Is the wish of Barney and Ben;
Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk
Is the hope of Janice and Jen;
And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well,
It's the sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas;
Soon the bells will start,
And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart

Toys in every store
But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be

Sure it's Christmas once more...
"Rachel I do not think we can do this" I frown as Judy stands up and picks up my display "We just do not have the cash"
"B-but I know we do!" I pull out a paper I had folded "I did the math! The numbers are all here! Ju-just look!"
"I am sorry baby" Mom comes over and grabs the paper "We can decorate for Christmas though!"
"Yeah" I wipe a tear and walk away "I will go find the boxes"
"Rachel wait!"
-Fran pov-
"What the hell?!" I stand up and glare at my mom "She worked hard on that! She has been working on it since Thanksgiving! She made sure to add something for everyone! She snuck around to find all bank statements and bills! She spent so much time on that!"
"It is a fantasy and waste of money" I watch money toss it into the trash "There are better things to spend it on ok? We have plenty of decorations already here"
"Same old Judy" She narrows her eyes and I scoff "What going to yell at me? Try and tear me down? Come in bring it on! We all know you do this cause of your upbringing!"
"I will not take this!" Soon my mom is face to face with me "You are my daughter! You are not better than me! You are not above me!"
"But I know you better than them" I poke her chest with a smirk "I know you are holding it in"
"If I wanted to I would beat your ass black and blue" I hear a throat clear and smirk even more "Alright I hate Christmas! I am a Christian woman who hates Christmas! My dad was an asshole at this time and so was my mom! I hate it so much! But that is not why I said no! You want to know why? Cause Shelby said not to! We found the plan and Shelby did not want to do it! So you have a problem take it up with her! I WANTED TO DO IT!"
I turn and look at a frowning Shelby "Ok fine I did do that!" Shelby sighs and slumps down "I was just...I wanted her first Christmas with me to be normal! I did not expect her to be like that!"
"Decorations do not make it special but the time together does" Alma smiles from her seat "Never forget your families at this time of year"
"Weird wisdom but ok" I look at Shelby "What do you say?"
We all look at her as she gives her answer.
-Time skip-Rachel pov-
"Alright so I found the boxes but I am confused on what they are" I look at the label again "This one says Christmas but it also says Easter"
"Yeah I suck at labels" Maribel takes the box "I forgot I even had this! Where did you find it?"
"A cutaway in my room" I smile as she opens the box "What is in it?"
"My old decorations" Maribel smiles as she pulls out some retro things "Man I used to love all of this"
"Let's set it out!" Maribel gives a nod with a smile "I found those boxes in there along with some from the attic"
"That is great dear" Maribel grabs my hand and smiles "Follow me for your surprise though ok?"
I nod with a confused look on my face. I let her take my to the coats and put mine on. We put on our boots next and then step outside. My eyes go wide as I look around at the winter wonderland.
"What do you think?" I look and see everyone smiling "Did we do it right?"
"I can enter us in the contest now!" I run inside and back out with the application "We can be Limas best Christmas house!"
"What?" Mom walks over and looks at the paper "The winners get a free Christmas ham and gas cards"
"I figured we could use them" I look at everyone worriedly "Did I mess up?"
"No baby" I am hugged tightly soon "You did everything right"
I smile and hug my mom back before the group hug starts. I love this family so much.
