Chapter 5
Leigh glanced over at Blake. Around them trees grew straight up. The small but roomy black SUV rolled along the unpaved road. Turning her gaze back to the trees around her, Leigh sighed. Well, it might not be what I planned, but at least I can relax a bit. I hope.
Leigh turned back to Blake. "How much farther?
Blake glanced at her. "Not too much longer."
Leigh nodded and glanced out the window. This is so unlike me. I'm running off into the woods with someone I don't even really know. I mean who is to say that this is all his fault and not mine. What if he is the one who cause all of this to happen?

Blake glanced at Leigh. About a half hour ago, she had talked to him in for the first time since they had been in the SUV. They had been in the thing for almost two hours now and she hadn't said a word. She has to be thinking why the hell she is coming with me so willing. I can't let him get her. I have to protect her. When I found her then, I almost wasn't able to protect her. She doesn't know that she is what is keeping me from becoming just like him.
He turned his eyes back to the road. If she knew what I was right now, she would run from me. I know it, but I would follow her. I know her smell. Damn, why did I do it to her then? She doesn't know what she truely is. If she did…
Damn, I want this to be a good week. I can't tell her he maybe already following us. I need her. I don't think I can last much longer. I've waited a hundred years for her. I don't know if I can wait anymore, but she has to come to me. I can't force her.

Leigh watched as a huge log cabin came into view. It's isn't what I was expecting. She glanced at Blake.
"Is this it?
"Yes, it is."
"Ooooooooook."
Blake parked the SUV inside the detached garage. He grabbed two of her bags and began to walk towards the front door. Leigh quickly grabbed the one he hadn't gotten and followed him.
Blake opened the door as Leigh reached the front porch. He walked in and Leigh soon followed.
Leigh froze in the doorway. The house only looked like a log cabin. Inside it was drywall and not logs. Main floor was almost one entire room. The kitchen, dinning, and living room were all together. But she could see a bathroom not too far and what she guessed might be a bedroom and not to mention the stairs that led to the second floor.
Blake walked to the bottom the stairs and turned around.
"You can have the master upper stairs. I take the one down here. The office is up there, too."
Leigh nodded. "K. As long as I'm not kicking you out."
Blake smiled. "I normally sleep in the bedroom down here anyway. So no you are not."
Blake began up the stairs. Leigh wasn't too far behind him. He led her to the right and opened a pair of solid wood French doors. Quickly he walked inside and placed the backpack and the other bag on the bed. Leigh walked in and looked at the room.
It was beautiful. The walls were a soft purple. The furniture was all traditional looking, but was painted black. The windows draped with a darker purple faced towards the forest. Nothing man made could be seen from them. The bed was four-poster and wrought iron. The bedding was a pale yellow background with flowers everywhere.
Damn, this room almost looks like the room I wanted at home, but couldn't cause I couldn't find the bed I wanted.
"Here you go. The bathroom is to the left and the closet is to the right. I'll let you get settled."
"This looks way too feminine for you."

Blake turned to face her. Damn, she might realize that I've had this room waiting for her.
"It's a guest room mostly. So I gave it a semi feel."
He watched as she nodded. I can't look at that bed now. When I came in I saw her… Damn, I'm going to be in huge trouble if she runs.
"This will be fine. I can unpack myself and then you can show me around."
Blake nodded. "Sure."
Blake walked out. At least she is finally here. Now all I have to do is make her see and not lose her.
