"Interesting..." Pixal said as she examined the box on the Bounty with Lloyd.

"Right? And look." Lloyd picked up the Vengestone weapon, nearly dropping it like he did before, but keeping his grip while trying to use his powers.

They didn't work, of course, but then he set the weapon back into the box and closed it. The minute it was shut was like it wasn't even nearby, and Lloyd could use his powers perfectly again.

"Fascinating!" exclaimed Pixal.

"I know! I wonder what's making it all work," Lloyd replied. "And look at this, there's a strange symbol on the inside of the lid."

Lloyd opened the box again, pointing out the odd symbol he found. Pixal scanned a picture of it, then ran it through her database.

"Odd, I cannot find any information on it," she said. "Perhaps it's meaning is hidden elsewhere."

"Do you know if Master Wu had any scrolls with the same symbol somewhere?" Lloyd asked.

"I'm afraid not," answered Pixal. "I would've remembered seeing something that looked like this one. After all, I do try to read them once they come in."

Lloyd sighed as he walked over to the edge of the Bounty, staring down at the white clouds below, gently billowing along as they hovered above them.

"This is hard without everyone," he said. "We should have never gone to the Trite Islands."

"Do not say that, Lloyd, you know you could not predict the future," said Pixal as she walked to his side. "Your original intentions were good, they were not what brought harm to the Ninja."

Lloyd still looked down, then he slowly looked over at Pixal.

"What if Wu's gone, Pixal? What if I brought all of the Ninja to their fate when they tried to find him?" Lloyd asked, then turned away to hide his sorrowful face. Pixal frowned.

"They have been trained to be great by themselves. I do not believe they will be in any great danger," Pixal said, changing her attitude about the situation. "Even then, you should not be blaming yourself--we can no longer change the past."

Lloyd tried to smile, but for some reason, he just didn't feel like he could do it.

"Thank you for that, Pixal," he said, then turned away, walking into the Bounty's living quarters. He pushed back a dojo screen and looked at the boxy video game console and TV that it stood in front of. All six of the controllers they used to play games with each other rested out on top of a knee-high table, just sitting there scattered about.

They were each colored like one another, Jay's was blue, Kai's was red, Cole's is black, Zane's is white, Lloyd's was green... then Nya's was a shade of gray. Nya. That was one terrible disagreement.

"Somebody took Sensei Wu! I tried to use my powers to save him, but I couldn't! It was like the effects of Vengestone... but there wasn't any I could see," Nya explained through her distress, while the Ninja were still together.

"Is that true?" asked Kai first.

"Of course it is, how could I make up something like that?" Nya remarked. "There were also these other people that fought alongside the one that kidnapped Wu, they looked like Crows and they were covered in these sharp feather cloaks."

"Did this guy have a Vengestone amulet or something?" asked Cole next.

"No, but I think it was their swords and spears that contained it. I don't know how, they were still so powerful!" she explained.

"But that's impossible, Vengestone can't be forged without losing most of its power draining abilities," said Lloyd. "Are you sure it wasn't something like Obsidian?"
