After a while, Nick is back on the doorstep knocking once again. Ziggy's mother opened up again, confused. "Why are you here again?" She questions him. "I got Ziggy some soup to help ease her infection, happens to the best of us" Nick says trying to be helpful as well as cheerful. Ziggy's mother lets him in and goes back to her armchair resting and drinking beers. 'God knows how many beers she's had' Nick ponders. As he knocks on the door, no one answers. He knocks again, and yet nothing. He opens the door the slightest bit attempting to get a little peek and figure out why the door wasn't opened for him only to hear Ziggy in the shower singing 'Total eclipse of a heart' by Bonnie Tyler. Nick had loved that song immensely, it was like an anthem to him at this point and hearing Ziggy sing it was the most pleasurable thing to him. Once the water stops, Ziggy leaves the shower which alarms Nick to quickly close the door. After a while, Nick knocks on the door as if he just came. Ziggy opens the door as she dries her hair with a towel letting Nick in. Nick places the soup on the counter and catches a glimpse of 'the smiths' poster and a "fleetwood mac" poster. "I love the smiths" Nick says. Ziggy stares back at him deeply, "I do too. There's something about them that is so alluring, and the constant obsession with Metallica is understandable but who even likes Bonnie Tyler?" Ziggy babbles. "You do" Nick says with a smirk on his face. "I'm sorry?" Ziggy questions him. "I heard you sing in the shower, Berman" Nick says as his smirk grows wider. "Douchebag" Ziggy says flustered. Ziggy grabs the homemade soup and seats herself on her bed, she then slurps intensely and devours the plate. "My god, this is unbelievably good" Ziggy says subconsciously. "I made it, and I wouldn't put it past me, these hands are a miracle" Nick clarifies leaving Ziggy chuckling and staring into his eyes. As they both lock eyes for the next continuous 10 seconds, Nick unconsciously says "What ever happened to us?" Looking back at Ziggy, he is even stunned by what he had just said, suppressing thoughts was his current weakness. Ziggy's eyes grow wider than before till her tone is sadder, "you would know" Ziggy spits it out. Nick is left flabbergasted by that little sentence. "What did I ever do?" Nick asks genuinely confused as he keeps looking back and forth. "You didn't believe me and you left me" Ziggy says, she then continues "I had no one besides my drunken mother and we all know how greatly helpful she was through this" Ziggy says sarcastically letting out a chuckle lacking her usual spark. "I had many duties that created boundaries. My father sat me down and told me all of it, everything. He left me consumed with confusion and fear and disbelief. Because this family was never what it was displayed as and although I may seem perfectly fine to you, I was hurting too, Ziggy" Nick says angrily. "What did your dad do?" Ziggy asks concerned. "I think it's better I leave, and best if I never show up again" Nick says grabbing the plastic bag and closing the door behind him as he lets out a sigh. Ziggy is shocked, but most of all sad. All this time, Nick had been hurting and she was that blind and self absorbed to causally ignore it? Why didn't she do anything when she witnessed him smashing apart the wood pieces? Although guilt consumed her, she now knew that she was just an open vulnerable door that he chose to come back to whenever he felt like it, and she didn't like that. From then on, Ziggy decided to keep her distance in spite of the amalgamation of confusion and concern that kept her curiousness wild over what Nick's father had done or said.
