The silence was all she heard and she basked in it. Drea was careful not to take it for granted as this would be the last time she would ever live in tranquility and stillness.
She promised she would never leave him, no matter what.
But he promised he would never hurt her. Yet he's hurt her so bad that he has driven her to run far away from him and never turn back.
He's left her with only one choice that will put so many lives at risk.
They've both broken their promises. Except one is going to destroy the peace of the world once it is broken.
After long minutes of careful navigation through the dark mansion, Drea had finally made it to the main level.
A terrible pain gradually engulfed her body like a weighted blanket but she ignored it and kept moving. The pain only started once she left the room. If she kept going and brushed away the pain, she would be out in no time.
Surprisingly, no door alarms went off. No sensors took notice of her movement and the many doorknobs she touched did not make any alerts.
Yet, Drea was still not fully at ease.
It was too easy. She felt as if she was walking right into a trap but proceeded to walk towards the garage door nonetheless.
But Drea could not ignore the dark thoughts lingering in her mind.
How exactly had she been able to effortlessly make it to the main level without any difficulty?
Antonio is made aware of everything she does. The technological sensors set up in their home make it close to impossible to even breathe without Antonio finding out
On any regular day, the second her palm even grasped the doorknob, the whole world would know. The alarms were so very loud and alert.
"Drea this... Drea that!"
Every movement she made, the alarm system would let it be known.
But she somehow managed to avoid complications. The fact that the house was unusually still did not ease her worries as much as it should have.
Not a single sound was heard in the house. It was so silent you could hear a pin drop.
Although that should have excited her, it worried her. Drea had to remember that her husband was smart.
The most advanced technology was made from his very own fingers. His intellectual ability is far beyond what anyone can comprehend.
The amount of control and intelligence that he has is unfathomable.
He is smart and menacing and something didn't feel right.
Nevertheless, Drea continued to move. She wasn't going to let her worries stop her. She's come too far to back out now.
