"Antonio just please stop." I couldn't listen to this for any longer. A deep pit of regret had begun to choke me.
Self-hatred spewed within me at the choice I made. I willingly came back to this situation and here I was trembling like a coward.
I deserve this. I'm too stupid for my own good.
I could have still been at the group home or possibly working to pay for an apartment in a town Antonio barely cared to visit.
I was in the clear.
But now there's absolutely no escaping.
Antonio circled his arm around my waist as his hands slowly traveled up to my eyelids. He shut both of my eyes gently and lay a brisk kiss on each of them. his fingers made their way to the roots of my hair, and graced upon my baby hairs as he spoke, "You know I have to punish you, right?" With that, he tugged my hair painfully hard to meet his stormy gaze.
A strangled cry had slipped past Drea's lips with the grip Antonio had on her scalp.
He had begun to drag her along the floor by the roots of her hair as she tugged for relief and her legs kicked the ground furiously to escape the wrath that was awaiting her.
Feelings of regret and envy filled every fiber of her being.
She was regretful because of her poorly thought-out plan to return to the man in her waking nightmares who just so happened to be her husband.
And she was envious of every other woman out there who could live normally with their significant other. That's all she ever wanted; normal.
Was it too much to ask for?
"No!" Drea wailed as she was being scraped along the ground towards her doom.
She was familiar with this house of course and knew exactly where he was taking her.
She had only ever been there once.
She didn't like to even think about why or how she suffered in this room.
"Please." All fight had left her and her hands dropped from her hair and brushed the ground along with her body.
Drea never thought he would do this again. After the damage that took place and the agony Antonio lived in seeing his wife almost die, she thought he would never resort to this method once again.
Her sniffling grew as their next destination was inches away. With a push of Antonio's palm, the room of horrors would be revealed.
Once they arrived Drea's tears got caught up in her throat. She was crying up a storm and simultaneously hyperventilating at the same time.
