Chapter 31 - We're A Maybe

-Darren's POV-

Today is my last day with Bella and the kids before we have to separate for a year and a half. It's stupid, isn't it? That we, I mostly, did nothing to stop them?

JK and Lexi are going out for the day as well. We all decided to make up and be friends again.

"Another year and a half." I hugged her, rubbing her arm before kissing the side of her head.

"If we survived 2 years, we can survive this one." She smiled at me.

I'm still nervous really. I mean, when they left me for 2 years without a decent goodbye, it traumatized me.

"Are you insane?" I chuckled. "2 years without you could have been the death of me!"

"You jerk." She slapped me lightly then we began to stare out the giant window again.

"I'm going to miss your hugs, your kisses, your giggles, your smiles, your lips, the feeling of waking up beside you, the feeling of being inside you-"

"Don't start with me!" She warned, laughing and I held my arms up in defense.

"Okay I was just trying to make you laugh cause I bet you were about to cry any moment." I said then she put her finger down. "All I'm saying is that I'm going to miss everything about you."

"Makapagsalita ka naman akala mo di na tayo magkikita ever." She pouted. "There's still Facetime and Skype and Insta and Twitter and all the social media sites you could think of!"

"It just won't be the same." I told her then she agreed.

"I need you." She mumbled and I kissed her forehead. "This arrangement is stupid."

"I know babe, but these are just trials." I told her as I stroked her hair over and over again. "Trials are just challenges we have to face in order to make us stronger."

"So you're deeper than Shakespeare now?" She wiped her tears then slapped me.

"No." I told her. "I'm Mozart."

"Mozart is a musician."

"I meant that." I grinned at her then she slapped my face lightly.

"Ewan ko sayo Darren, you're crazy."

"But you love me."

"Pakyu Darren pwe." She rolled her eyes but I kissed her head.

"HI NANAY HI TATAY!"

"Hiii!" Bella smiled then they ran all the way to us.

"TATAY WE LOVE YOU!"

I'm going to miss these little twerps. "I love you more!"

"Mommy!" Diah made her way down the stairs.

Wait, DOWN THE STAIRS?!

"Gavin Hale, Alexander Elijah! Ay baliktad whatever, yung kapatid niyo!" I pointed at Diah. She's like three, I mean goodness. "Baka mahulog yun sa hagdan."

"Hi mommy!" She kissed Bella first. "Daddyyyyyyyy!"

"Hi princess Diana!" I told her then combed her hair with my fingers. "How's your morning?"

"I'm alright daddy." She giggled then I put her on my lap.

I'm going to miss all of them. A year and a half... it's okay. Kaya ko to.

"Where's your sister?" I ask Diah, then I looked at Gav and Eli. "Where's siobe Dani?"

They all shrugged, then all of a sudden I heard whining.
