She noticed immediately when the village was in sight how the land was decorated with the colors of the flower fields just like Leo said. But when they got close to land, and she saw the villagers from afar, and then looked at Leo she realized she was missing something important.
"Umm," she stopped in her place
Leo noticed and stopped too "what's the matter?"
"Won't I need those "clothes" that the eardfolc wear?"
"Oh! That completely flew over my head," he paused for a second as a comedic effect.
Alana just gave him a deadpan look that said 'I would kill you right now if I could'.
"Ok ok, sorry my bad," he said laughing at her reaction. "But yea you have a point. Don't worry though I can go to the village and get you some clothes, I'm sure they won't mind. You stay put, I'll be right back." And he flew off.
Lana waited and true to his word he returned with a simple dress for her to wear that he held with his talons.
"Are you sure your talons haven't torn it already?"
"Hey I'm not that clumsy, don't worry I held it with care. Now come to the shore to change."
Once the land was too close that she could no longer swim she held her hand out for the dress in Leo's talons, he handed it to her carefully as to not accidentally hurt her with his sharp talons.
"You'd better not look," she said while staring daggers at him.
"Oh, come on do you really think that lowly of me?" he said faking an offended look.
She continued glaring at him.
He turned around. "And I got my answer."
She transformed into what the wolcnfolc and merefolc like to call "human" form, which is basically looking like an eardfolc but still mostly retaining their power, they are all too prideful to dare say that they transformed into an eardfolc form.
She quickly put on the dress. She had forgotten how soft eardfolc clothes were. She had not worn one in ages. "Ok now you can look."
He turned around and immediately beamed at her, "I knew this would look good on you! It's even better than I expected. Maybe it's cause you're just that beautiful," he said with a teasing smile. It was like he was teasing and flittering at the same time.
"Whatever, just take me to those 'goody two-shoes' eardfolcs of yours. Or even better, I want the flower fields."
He laughed. "Alright, here." He transformed into his human form. "Follow me, I'll show you the eardfolc then the fields"
"Ugh, fine."
