Dolphin Date | Emu x Mafuyu fanfic

Lunch

Emu waited patiently with her lunch at a tree. She enjoyed sitting outside as the breeze was nice and it wasn't as loud as eating in the cafeteria. 

Mafuyu walked up and sat down next to her.

The 2 of them just stared off into the distance while eating. They kept having these awkward moments of silence, neither of them really knowing how to fix it.

Even then, they still liked sitting in the presence of each other. 

"Hey Mafuyu-chan! uh...uh...would um..."

Emu tried to say something but she had a hard time figuring out what she was even going to say. She clamed up and went back to being silent.

"Emu, do you know how to tell if you like someone? In a romantic way of liking."

"OH?! I don't know!! Umm...well there is this one person I like...every time I'm around her I feel so happy and like uh..uh...a big ball of happy wonderhoy fluff!!"

Mafuyu didn't understand a single thing Emu just said, but they appreciated the help anyways.

"That..makes sense!! Thank you Emu." 

"No problem!!!"

Emu scooted closer to mafuyu and gave a big smile, causing Mafuyu to laugh a bit.

"So who do you have a crush on Mafuyu-chan?!"

"Oh uh! I don't really know if it's a crush but...I think I might like trying out a relationship with them maybe! I think they like me back since they aren't the best at hiding it.."

"THAT'S SO WONDERHOY!! I can totally be your wingman!!"

While Emu had the biggest crush on Mafuyu, she didn't want to stop Mafuyu from being happy. Even if it would be heartbreaking knowing Mafuyu would end up with someone else, Emu still cared for her friend and wanted to help them out.

"Oh..that's not needed."

"Huh?! Why?? I don't mind!!"

"I think I wanna handle it on my own, I'd feel a bit embarassed if they found out I relied on someone else to help me."

"That makes sense!! Will you at least tell me who it is?"

"After I confess to them you will get to know all about it."

"WONDERHOY!!"

Emu truly would get to know all about it, considering she will be there for the confession.

Side note: I'm sorry the parts are getting short!! When I finally complete this story I will go back and edit every part to be way more descriptive and well written! I started high school recently and I've had a bit of a hard time adjusting and I already have quite a bit of homework.
