- Aria -
"Alex! Luke!" My voice was too hoarse to be heard that far away, but I still tried. After waking, all I'd done was sit and yell. Looking around for the first time, I realized that the cell I was in was too small to be called "room-sized". All it had is a cot and a rusty nail embedded into the wall, the only company I've had for the past hour.
The walls looked as if they had once been painted gray, but we're now tainted with the reddish color of rust, and stained with water marks.
I shouted so much, my throat dried up and I gagged at the smell of rust and dew. I rushed to the corner and barely reached it in time to throw up my breakfast from yesterday.
After puking my guts out, I proceed to plan a murder rampage against everyone in this building. Milo is a traitor, Mark sucks, Luke ran off with Hope, Hope ran off with Luke, etcetera.
Luke abandoned me. He promised he'd help bring back my memories. I fell right back in love with him, but Hope tore him away. He fell for her. I don't blame him. She's everything I wish to be. She's beautiful, tall, slender in a not-anorexic way, unlike me. I'm just "pretty", like a child, and, also like a child, I'm short. This is why I find it hard to believe that he was in love with me. That's why I left voluntarily. I didn't want to suffer seeing Luke with Hope, but I didn't want to hurt them either. The threatening note scared me more than I let on.
Then I fell for Alex.
Things don't just go back to normal. They just don't. I'm glad I met Luke, but he can't hurt me this way. I've moved on.
Standing, I walked up to the cell bars. "Can anyone hear me?"
I started coughing violently, and it wasn't until I saw my hand that I realized something was wrong. I wiped my bloody hand on my jeans with a shudder. I'd been given a change of clothes a while ago, but they were already dirty.
Someone walked up to my cell. "Finally catching up to you. I'm surprised you lasted that long."
Milo's grin was creepily bright. "What did you do to me?"
He laughed. "I didn't do anything."
"Where am I?"
"Wouldn't you want to know?"
"Stop that!" I snapped.
He tried to look innocent and failed. "Stop what?"
"Answering my questions with questions." I stood weakly. "What's wrong with me?"
"Ah," he sighed. "Now that's a question. Come along. It's time we chatted."

"Nice to see you're awake. I was tired of staring at the wall."
I blinked. Hovering above me was Hope, with her damp, dark hair tickling my face. I groaned. I glanced up to the small barred window. Was that a shadow? "Where are we?"
She sighed and took a seat across the room. "I don't know." We spent quite a while in silence, until she spoke up.
"Luke is in love with Aria."
I glanced wearily at her. "If anyone is blind enough to not see that, I'd like to meet them."
"Luke says he isn't."
