Chapter 40: Imposter

Now in his office with silenced charms. Snape had his Wand aimed at The Fake Alastor moody. With Dumbledore doing the same. Harry also glared at the man.

"Severus. Go get the truth drought." Dumbledore would say as Snape nodded and Decided to head to his office to go get the truth potion.

"Truth potion? What's that professor?" Harry would ask while Dumbledore kept his eyes on the fake Alastor moody who was binded in rope with Dumbledore keeping his wand on him.

"It is Veritaserum a Truth Potion so powerful that three drops would have you spilling your innermost secrets for everyone to hear and know. Now, the use of this potion is controlled by very strict Ministry guidelines. However there is an antidote for the truth serum to return the one who told secrets." Dumbledore explained.

"And why haven't we learned this yet?" Harry asked

"Because. You don't know Veritaserum until you reach 7th year. Right now let's keep our focus on this imposter and for him to tell us where is the real Alastor Moody." Dumbledore says with his wand still aimed at "Moody" who gave them a glare.

Professor Snape had returned with three potions. Both truth serum and antidote along with the antidote for Polyjuice.

"Now. Let's make our imposter talk." Snape says as he then forced "Moody" to drink the Veritaserum it was then. The imposter was under the effects of it.

"Now. Who are you?" Dumbledore asked with Harry watching.

"I am Barty Crouch Jr." Barty answered under the effects of the serum. Both Snape and Dumbledore's eyes narrowed with Harry looked shocked.

"Where is Alastor Moody?" Dumbledore asked

"In his trunk." Barty answered again.

"Tell me. Are you the one who put Harry Potter in the Tri-Wizard Tournament?" Dumbledore asked.

"Yes it was I." Barty confirmed

"Why?" Asked Dumbledore wanting to know the man's full intentions and wanting to see if what Harry said is true.

"Because he was needed to be put in the tournament so that he could greet my master. Lord Voldemort. I am to deliver him in the final task to my master." Barty answered once more. With the three of them narrowing their eyes.

"So it's true after all." Harry whispered.

Before Dumbledore could ask. his office door opened up revealing Cornelius Fudge and a ugly pink toad at his side.

"Albus what- what is this?" The Minster asked watching the scene before him.

"Cornelius. This man. Is not Alastor Moody. He is an imposter." Dumbledore answered with Fudge blinking

"How do you mean?" Fudge asked.

Dumbledore gave a nod to Snape. Who followed and forced Barty to drink the antidote for the poly juice.

After drinking it. Barty was no longer Alastor Moody. He was reverted back to his original self much to the shock of Fudge and Umbridge.

"What is going on here Albus!?" Fudge demanded

"And is that Barty Crouch Jr.?!" Umbridge asked

"We discovered That it was Barty Crouch Jr. it was he that put Mr. Potter in the Tri-wizard Tournament." He says

"Really?" Fudge asked

"Go on tell them." Dumbledore asked Barty.

"Yes it was I. It was I who did it. I did it for my lord." Barty answered it was then Umbridge noticed something as she narrowed her eyes.
