No. No way, what does this mean?

Scared, I shakily held the doll, inspecting its every part. I pushed the button a second time, but there was no more voice recording. It only happened once. It seemed to be some kind of threatening message, but there was no way it's meant for me? Wait, did I just hear footsteps?

"Jesse! Done cleaning?"

I almost jumped out of my skin, and hurriedly trashed the doll I just found. Deciding to not think too much about it, I basically tried to forget all the events I'd just encountered, acting as if nothing happened.

"Umm, Jesse, you okay? You look pale," my best friend and colleague, Crona, asked me with concern.

"UHH, nah its alright," I replied. I already didn't want to trouble Crona too much, like all the previous times she got messed up in my foolish adventures. However, she obviously knew me well, and could see I was having some problems, because she starting probing further about what I saw earlier. Reluctantly, I spilled the tea to her.

"Just you wait, it's coming... Singapore will fall"

That was the voice recording I heard earlier, and now the doll wouldn't repeat it again. I looked back into the trash bag to find that doll to show Crona. But... wait, where is it? I'm sure it's there. It vanished??!!

Crona and I looked at each other, dumbfounded. This was a mystery that came with no explanations, and passed without warning. What in the world does that message mean?

—---

"Singapore will fall.. When was the last time Singapore fell?? 1942, during world war 2?? That's been so long though.. It's now the year 2035, and the last big event was the coronavirus in 2019.." Crona pondered aloud. Yep, the coronavirus. Sure, Crona's name was funny
